Juliano Son (born 11 February 1974) is a Brazilian Christian singer, songwriter, missionary and worship pastor. He is the leader of the ministry Livres Para Adorar. [1]

Life and career

Juliano Son is descendant of Korean immigrants who came to Brazil. He is married to Daniele Son, with whom he has three sons, Lucas, Filipe and Mateus. [2] He studied theology at the Baptist Theological College of São Paulo. Juliano is a member of the Oriental Missionary Church of São Paulo. [3]

The band Livres Para Adorar was founded in 2005 by Juliano, after receiving a testimony of a missionary who reported on the reality of trafficking and child sex slavery in Nepal. The purpose of the ministry was to promote and financially support a project that helped these children, thus came the ministry Livres who recorded his first CD entitled "Livres Para Adorar". [4] In the same year of the launch of the first album, the ministry Livres Para Adorar founded the shelter "Livre Ser", which welcomes children between 8–17 years in the desert region of Brazil, considered the poorest region of Brazil, the Northeast Sertão. At the end of 2012, Julian moved with his family to the Sertão, on Piauí state to be a missionary. [5]

Exaltasamba is a Brazilian pagode music group, formed in 1982 in São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo. The group began simply playing gigs in restaurants and bars. They later began writing their own songs, eventually releasing an album, "Eterno Amanhecer" in 1992. However, it wasn't until 1996 that they truly became successful, with their 1996 and 1997 albums, "Luz do Desejo and "Desliga e Vem" each going Double Platinum. They released a Live Album with songs handpicked by their fans via E-Mail. In 2003, one of their best known Vocalists, Thiaguinho, joined the group. They continued to release albums. Their 25th Anniversary was in 2010, and they had written new material to perform on this show. The year thereafter, Thiaguinho announced that he planned on leaving the group. They subsequently announced their disbandment after 25 years as a band. Their final concert was in February 2012, and it was broadcast on a channel considered the Brazilian Equivalent to the United States' MTV; Multishow. Or so we thought.

Wilson Simonal de Castro, was a Brazilian singer, born in Rio de Janeiro on February 23, 1938. He died in São Paulo on June 25, 2000. He was a singer with great success in the 1960s and in the first half of the 1970s. He was married two times and had two sons: Wilson Simoninha and Max de Castro, both are artists today. He also had a daughter, named Patricia.

Thiago André Barbosa better known as Thiaguinho, is a pagode singer, composer and presenter. He first gained notoriety for participating in the talent show Fama in 2002 and became famous for being a member of the musical group Exaltasamba from 2003 to 2012. In 2012, he released his first solo album and live album, "Ousadia & Alegria", selling more than 80,000 copies and earning him a Latin Grammy nomination in the Best Samba/Pagode Album category. He released his second solo album, "Outro Dia, Outra História", in 2014 which sold 40,000 copies and earned a gold record certificate. His third album, "Hey, Mundo!" was released in 2015, and was a commercial success, selling more than 160,000 copies and going double platinum.
