Julien Lacher (born October 1, 2007) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for New York Cosmos in the USL League One.
Born in Rumson, New Jersey, Lacher began his career playing youth soccer in New Jersey with Ironbound SC. He then moved to MLS Next Academy team New York City FC and progressed through the various youth teams. [1] In 2024 he was called up to play with New York City FC II in MLS Next Pro.
On June 1 2024, Lacher made his debut for New York City FC II, starting as a right winger, in a 3-2 derby victory over New York Red Bulls II. [2] A few weeks later, on June 12, 2024, Lacher scored his first goal as a professional in 3-1 victory over Toronto FC II. [3]
Lacher became a regular starter for NYCFCII during the 2025 season, appearing in 27 matches, 21 as a starter. He was the clubs second leading scorer with 6 goals and also recorded a team leading 7 assists. [4]
On December 19, 2025, Lacher joined USL League One side New York Cosmos ahead of their return to professional competition. [5]
