Nakuru County is a county in Kenya. It is county number 32 out of the 47 Kenyan counties. Nakuru County is a host to Kenya's Fourth City –Nakuru City. On 1 December 2021,President Uhuru Kenyatta awarded a City Charter status to Nakuru,ranking it with Nairobi,Mombasa,and Kisumu as the cities in Kenya. With a population of 2,162,202,it is the third most populous county in Kenya after Nairobi County and Kiambu County,in that order. With an area of 7,496.5 km2, it is Kenya's 19th largest county in size. Until 21 August 2010,it formed part of Rift Valley Province.

Otuoma is a veterinarian by training,holding a Bachelor's of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Nairobi (1991),where he also earned an MBA in 2001. He is married with 5 children.
Franklin Kipn'getich Bett alias (Chepkooit) is a Kenyan politician. He is currently serving as the chairman of the Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC) after President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed him to the position. Danson Buya Mungatana is a Kenyan lawyer and a politician,currently The Senator Tana River County. He is popularly known as "the crocodile eater." He belonged to NARC-Kenya and was elected to represent the Garsen Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya between 2002 and 2013. He also served as Assistant Minister in different state Ministries in Kenya. He won in the 2002 and 2007 Kenyan parliamentary election. He is currently a member of United Democratic Alliance.
Joyce Cherono Abonyo was a Kenyan politician who served as the second governor of Bomet County from 2017 until her death on 29 July 2019. She was a Member of Parliament representing Sotik constituency,before she was elected to the gubernatorial seat.
Sotik Constituency is an electoral constituency in Kenya established for the 1997 elections. It is one of five constituencies in Bomet County. Sotik has one major river,River Kipsonoi. Sotik is also a hilly place with the main crops being grown are tea and maize. The Nairobi Kisii highway passes through Sotik. Recently,many developments have occurred;Sotik Market was put up by the former governor Hon Isaac Ruto,since then infrastructure has been improving. Sotik is also a religious center with over 10 churches set up in the area,e.g.,Bethel AGC,St Joseph's Sotik catholic church and Gustavo D' Kerich chapel.
