Junaid Wasi is an Indian lyricist. He has written lyrics for the notable Hindi film songs and is active as a lyricist and poet for Bollywood film songs. [1]

Career

Wasi was first noticed as a lyricist after the release of the Bollywood song "Uska Hi Banana" from the Horror flick 1920: The Evil Returns in 2012. His lyrics for "Uska Hi Banana" were acclaimed by "komoi". [2] His other notable works are the lyrics of the Hindi song "Baawra Mann" from the Jolly LLB 2. [3] [4] [1]


Junaid's another romantic song "Zikr" from the movie Amavas with Asad khan & Arman Malik in 2019.

<i>1920: Evil Returns</i> 2012 film by Bhushan Patel

1920: The Evil Returns is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language horror film written by Vikram Bhatt and directed by Bhushan Patel. The film is a quasi-sequel to a 2008 film 1920, second of the 1920, and stars Aftab Shivdasani, Tia Bajpai, Vidya Malvade and Sharad Kelkar in the lead roles. The movie is third in a series of quasi-sequels released under the Bhatt Banner including Raaz – The Mystery Continues, Murder 2, Jism 2, Jannat 2 and Raaz 3D each of which had nothing to do with their respective prequels, but somehow fell in the same genre following a similar story. The trailer was released on 28 September 2012. The film released on 2 November 2012 to mixed reception and fared better at the opening Box Office weekend as compared to any other releases that week except Skyfall. U Dinesh Kumar, Professor at IIM Bangalore and his team worked with Ami Shah of IntelliAssist, the company that carried out the social media marketing for the film, and assessed Internet activities and campaigns with the case study later published by Harvard Business Publishing.

<i>Jolly LLB</i> 2013 Indian film

Jolly LLB is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language dark comedy courtroom drama film written and directed by Subhash Kapoor and produced by Fox Star Studios. Released on 15 March 2013, the film stars Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, Amrita Rao and Saurabh Shukla and revolves around the early life of Advocate Jagdish Tyagi, also known as Jolly, and focuses on his attempt to earn six innocent labourers their justice and his journey against the monopolistic behavior of the rich and judicial corruption. The storyline is inspired by the 1999 hit-and-run case of Sanjeev Nanda and a minor reference to Priyadarshini Mattoo case.

Gyan Dutt was one of the most prominent music directors in Bollywood in the 1940s. He was music director for films such as Thokar (1939), Achhut (1940), Bhakta Surdas (1942), Sunehre Din (1949) and Ghayal (1951). Many of his songs were sung by K. L. Saigal. In 1948 he composed seven songs for a young Geeta Dutt in the films Chanda Ki Chandani and Hua Savera, although their most notable collaboration was Dilruba (1950) in which Dutt wrote eight songs, six of which were solos for Geeta Dutt.

Krsna Solo is a music composer, singer-songwriter and a music producer from India, who debuted with the popular Hindi film "Tanu Weds Manu" in 2011. Among his awards are a Filmfare R.D. Burman Award, Stardust Award for Best New Music Director. His work also includes Jolly LLB, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Tamanchey, Oonga and more. <i>Jolly LLB 2</i> 2017 film by Subhash Kapoor

The State vs. Jolly LL.B 2, better known as Jolly LL.B 2, is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language black comedy film written and directed by Subhash Kapoor. Akshay Kumar plays the titular character, Jagdishwar Mishra, replacing the 2013 film's lead actor, Arshad Warsi, while Huma Qureshi, Annu Kapoor and Kumud Mishra, as well as Saurabh Shukla, who reprises his role from the 2013 original, star. The film is based in Lucknow, the story follows a lawyer who fights a case against a ruthless and powerful advocate to bring justice to the deceased victim of a fake encounter involving a corrupt police officer.

He has done work for popular Indian films and television programs like Coke Studio, Delhi Belly (film), Satyamev Jayate, Fukrey and Bhootnath Returns etc. He is a son of bus conductor in Punjab Roadways, lives in Chandigarh- Burail and completed studies from a Hindi medium school in Chandigarh. He went to Mumbai and came back in 2003 when Bollywood music composer Vishal Bharadwaj promised him in an email that "One day, we will work together," and after this he sat back in Chandigarh and waited for a response Vishal Bharadwaj, before going to Mumbai he was writing poetry or songs for the theatre groups in Chandigarh for their plays. Later, Bharadwaj asked him to write three songs for his film Asma 2004 and since then He has done 50 songs for almost 15 movies in last since he came back from Mumbai.
