Justin Storms (born 1981 in Corpus Christi, Texas) is an American artist and musician.
Storms' work primarily revolves around a post-apocalyptic whaling Dystopia which he refers to as a "Whaletopia." Stylistically his work is airy and serene with gritty themes dealing with: overpopulation, global warming, extinction, war, death, whaling, mysticism, and maritime history. His work has been compared to Hieronymus Bosch and Géricault.
Justin Storms has exhibited in museums, art fairs, and galleries worldwide. A few being The Drawing Center, [1] Preview Berlin, [2] Arthouse at the Jones Center for The New American Talent 23 exhibition in Austin, Walters Art Museum, Loop Gallery in Berlin, [3] Stolenspace Gallery in London, [4] and Parker's Box in Brooklyn. In 2008 Justin Storms graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art and attended the Triangle Artist Workshop in Brooklyn, NY. [6] In 2008 he was invited to attend the University of Berlin's "Karl Hofer Gesellschaft," [7] where he exhibited work for the emerging art fair: "Preview Berlin" which was held at the historic Berlin Tempelhof Airport. In 2009, he was awarded Switzerland's "AKKU" residency, [8] located outside of Zurich from 2009-2010. He was commissioned to press 50 copies of the "Whaletopian Coloring Book" by AKKU. In 2010 he was invited to attend the Triangle International Residency in Brooklyn, NY.
Wailin Storms formed by Justin Storms in Corpus Christi, Texas which later settled in Durham, NC. The band is a mix of doom-punk and swampy rock. After two EPs — 2011’s Bone Colored Moon and 2014’s Shiver — the band issued their debut LP, "One Foot In The Flesh Grave" on Magic Bullet Records in 2015.
Their 2nd full length album "Sick City" was released in 2017 and was recorded by Kevin Ratterman and Ann Gauthier at La La Land in Louisville KY on the polish label Antena Kryzku. Their song "Irene Garza" was featured on NPR's All Songs Considered and featured in Decibel Magazine, Cvlt Nation, Invisible Oranges, and other outlets. Their 3rd album "Rattle" was recorded by J. Robbins and is expected to be released in Spring of 2020. The record will released on Gilead Media in North America and Antena Kryzku in Europe.

Blue Star Contemporary is a non-profit contemporary art institution located in San Antonio, Texas. It was established by a group of artists in 1986 after the success of the Blue Star Exhibition, a show featuring the work of local contemporary artists in the former Blue Star Ice and Cold Storage warehouse. Blue Star Contemporary is the longest-running non-profit contemporary art space in the city. Blue Star Contemporary, also known as BSC, is run by Executive Director Mary Heathcott. Barbara Ann Rosenthal is an American avant-garde artist, writer and performer. Rosenthal's existential themes have contributed to contemporary art and philosophy. Rosenthal's pseudonyms are "Homo Futurus," which was taken from the title of one of her books, and "Cassandra-on-the-Hudson," which alludes to "the dangerous world she envisions" while creating art in her studio and residence on the Hudson River in Greenwich Village, NYC. Matt Magee is an American contemporary artist who is best known for his minimal abstract geometric paintings, sculptures, prints, assemblages, murals and photographs. He was born in Paris, France in 1961 and moved from there to Tripoli, Libya and then to London. He moved to Brooklyn in 1984 to attend Pratt Institute for an MFA after completing a BA in Art History at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. He maintained a studio on New York City until 2012 and currently lives in Phoenix, AZ.
Craig Drennen is an American artist based in Atlanta, Georgia. He is best known for his ongoing long-term Timon of Athens project, for which he has produced paintings, drawings, prints, videos, performances, sculptures. His work shows technical agility across a wide range of influences that spans abstraction, representation, and conceptual practices. In a catalog essay, the curator Diana Nawi writes that Drennen's "…multifaceted, dense, and ambitious practice suggests a world of meaning defined by symbols that emerge in different media and coalesce across projects."

John Newman is an American sculptor. He was born in Flushing, Queens in 1952. He received his B.A. from Oberlin College (1973). He attended the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program in 1972 and received his M.F.A. in 1975 from the Yale School of Art. He was a fellow at the Center for Advanced Visual Studies at MIT from 1975 to 1978. He is based in New York City.
