The Belgian football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in Belgium.
Koninklijke Patro Eisden Maasmechelen is a Belgian football club from the municipality of Maasmechelen in Limburg. The club play in Challenger Pro League, the second tier of Belgian football.
The Belgian Provincial leagues are the lower leagues for Belgian football. Until 2016, these were at levels 5-8 in the Belgian football league system however as part of the reform an extra level was created causing the provincial leagues to drop to levels 6-9. The provincial leagues are divided into 9 regional league systems. Each league system is itself divided into 4 levels. The number of leagues at each level depends on the province, but every province must have only one league at the top level. The best teams from the 9 first divisions can promote to the Belgian Division 3, the fifth and lowest level in the national leagues.

Royal Cappellen Football Club is a Belgian football club from the town of Kapellen, near Antwerp. Cappellen has matricule number 43 and has yellow and red as main team colours. The club has a long history in the higher divisions of Belgian football. Koninklijke Beerschot Voetbalclub Antwerpen, or simply Beerschot, is a Belgian professional football club located in Antwerp, that competes in the top tier Pro League after promotion from second tier in 2023–24 season. In 2013, KFCO Wilrijk decided to integrate the identity of Beerschot AC when they were relegated in the 2012–13 season, not only through their league position but also due to losing their professional licence through financial issues, being officially declared bankrupt on 21 May 2013 and folding shortly afterwards. The club colours are purple and white, they play their games on the club's home ground the Olympic Stadium often referred to as 't Kiel.
KFC Zwarte Leeuw is a Belgian football club from Rijkevorsel. The club was founded on April 25, 1926, and is affiliated to the Royal Belgian Football Association with base number 1124. The club's club colours are yellow-black. Until the 1974/75 season, Black Lion played in the Provincial Divisions. Since then, with the exception of three seasons in the First Provincial Division, the club has played in the national series, culminating in four seasons in the Second Division, between 1989 and 1994. In the 2023/24 season, the club plays in the Third Division, the third national amateur level.
Koninklijke Voetbalvereniging Coxyde was a Belgian football club based in Koksijde, West Flanders. It last played at the ninth and lowest level in Belgian football after the club decided to take a one-year break in 2017–18, vacating its position in the football pyramid to restart at the very bottom in 2018–19 where it remained for two seasons before merging with K.V.V. Oostduinkerke in 2020 to form K.V.V. Koksijde-Oostduinkerke. This club continues under the matricule number of Oostduinkerke, with the number and history of Koksijde being scrapped from the records.
The Belgian Division 2, commonly referred to as simply Tweede Afdeling or Division 2 is the fourth-highest division in the Belgian football league system, one level below the Belgian National Division 1. It was created by the Royal Belgian Football Association in 2016, replacing the Belgian Third Division and named Belgian Second Amateur Division until the 2019–20 before it was renamed due to the negative connotation of the word amateur. The division consists of three separate leagues with 16 teams each, two of these leagues consist of teams playing with a license from the Voetbalfederatie Vlaanderen and one with teams with a license from the Association des Clubs Francophones de Football.
The 2019–20 Belgian Second Amateur Division was the fourth season of the division in its current format, placed at the fourth-tier of football in Belgium. Mid-March all matches were temporarily postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Belgium, only to be canceled permanently two weeks later, with the standing as of March 12 counting as final. As a result, Knokke, Tienen and Francs Borains were crowned champions in their respective league and were each promoted to the 2020–21 Belgian First Amateur Division.
