K. Hrahmo (born 1960) [1] is an Indian politician from Mizoram. He won the 2023 Mizoram Legislative Assembly Election on BJP ticket from Palak constituency in Saiha district. [2]

Early life and education

K.Hrahmo was born in Chakhei, Siaha District, Mizoram, India and he is the son of K. Kihly and T. Pawchhai (mother). He married B. Ngiaso in 1987 and they have a son and four daughters. He graduated from North Eastern Hill University, Shillong, Meghalaya [3] and was served as secretary of the Mara Christian Fellowship in Shillong. [1] He has a hobby in fishing. [1]

Career

He served as an executive member of the Mara Autonomous District Council, Siaha for seven terms. He won the 2023 Assembly election, [4] [5] defeating K. T. Rokhaw of MNF by a margin of 1,241 votes. [4] [6] BJP won for the first time in Palak constituency. [4]

Palak Dil or Pala Tipo is the largest and biggest lake in Mizoram, northeast India. Its geographical location falls under the Indo-Burma biodiversity hotspot, and is therefore rich in animal and plant species. The lake is a major component of the Palak Wildlife Sanctuary, and it supports the major biodiversity of the sanctuary.

K. Beichhua is an Indian politician and retired surgeon. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is a former member of the Mizo National Front (MNF) and served as the member of the Mizoram Legislative Assembly for Saiha before resigning to join the BJP. He is former Minister of state in Government of Mizoram as Minister for Social Welfare, Excise & Narcotics & Sericulture department. He resigned as MLA and later joined the BJP after getting expelled from the MNF for anti-party activities.

H. Biakzaua is an Indian politician from Mizoram. He had been elected in Mizoram Legislative Assembly election in 2018 from Lawngtlai East as candidate of the Mizo National Front. He is the former deputy speaker of Mizoram Legislative Assembly.

Lorrain Lalpekliana Chinzah is an Indian politician in the state of Mizoram. He is currently serving as Adviser to Chief Minister on Health & Family Welfare & Agriculture. He was elected as an MLA from Lawngtlai East constituency of Lawngtlai district. In the 2023 Mizoram Legislative Assembly Elections he defeated sitting MLA H. Biakzaua by a huge margin of 2,101 votes.

C. Ngunlianchunga is an Indian politician from Mizoram. He is currently serving as an MLA from Lawngtlai West Constituency of Lawngtlai district in the 2023 Mizoram Legislative Assembly Election. He retained the seat defeating V. Zirsanga by a margin of 432 votes.

Lalchhandama Ralte is a Mizo National Front politician from Mizoram He has been elected to the Mizoram Legislative Assembly from Tuivawl Assembly constituency. He is currently the leader of opposition in the Mizoram Legislative Assembly and also leader of Mizo National Front Legislature party.

He defeated sitting MLA Zodintluanga Ralte of Indian National Congress by a margin of 62 votes.
