The KBO League Rookie of the Year Award is given to the player judged the best first-year player in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) League. The most recent winner is Lee Jung-hoo of the Nexen Heroes.

Park Kyung-su is the infielder of KT Wiz of the KBO League. He graduated Sungnam High School. He joined the LG Twins in 2003, and in 2014 he transferred to KT Wiz. He made his 100th home run in 2017 in a game against LG Twins.

The Korean Series Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award is given to the player deemed to have the most impact on his team's performance in the Korean Series, which is the final round of the KBO League postseason. The award was first presented in 1982.

The 2017 Korean Basketball League rookie draft was held on October 30, 2017, at the Jamsil Students' Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea. Out of the 44 participants, 27 players were drafted.
