The KBO League, known as the Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League for sponsorship reasons, is the highest level league of baseball in South Korea. The KBO League was founded with six franchises in 1982 and is the most popular sports league in South Korea. The Kia Tigers are the most successful team, having won 11 of the 42 championships.
Kia Tigers are a South Korean professional baseball team founded in 1982 and based in the southwestern city of Gwangju. Until 2001, they were known as the Haitai Tigers. The Tigers are a members of the KBO League and are the most successful team in Korean baseball, having won the national Korean Series championship 11 times with a perfect 11–0 record. Their home stadium is Gwangju-Kia Champions Field in Gwangju.
Dustin David Nippert is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball, and the Doosan Bears and KT Wiz of the KBO League. Nippert won the KBO League Most Valuable Player Award in 2016. With eight seasons in the KBO, Nippert holds the record for the longest career of any foreign player.
Son Min-han is a retired South Korean starting pitcher who played 15 seasons in the KBO League. He was a long-time member of the South Korea national baseball team, pitching in the 1994 Asian Games, the 1996 Summer Olympics, the 2000 Summer Olympics, the 2006 World Baseball Classic, and the 2009 World Baseball Classic. He batted and threw right-handed.
Lee Hyun-Gon is a South Korean infielder who plays for the NC Dinos of the KBO League. He bats and throws right-handed.
Kim Kyung-moon is the former manager of the NC Dinos, and a former catcher in the Korea Baseball Organization.
The NC Dinos are a South Korean professional baseball team based in Changwon. They are a member of the KBO League. Since 2019, their home stadium is Changwon NC Park. NC Dinos are owned by video game developer NCSoft Corporation.
Eric Allyn Thames is an American former professional baseball first baseman and outfielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Toronto Blue Jays, Seattle Mariners, Milwaukee Brewers, and Washington Nationals, in the KBO League for the NC Dinos, and in the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Yomiuri Giants.
Na Sung-bum is a South Korean outfielder for the Kia Tigers of the KBO League. He bats and throws left-handed. Na was selected tenth overall by the NC Dinos in the 2012 KBO Draft.

Drew James Rucinski is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Minnesota Twins, Miami Marlins, and Oakland Athletics and in the KBO League for the NC Dinos.

Yang Eui-ji is a South Korean professional baseball catcher currently playing for the Doosan Bears of the KBO League. He has won the KBO League Golden Glove Award at catcher five times; three consecutive years from 2014 to 2016, and again back-to-back in 2018 and 2019. Yang won the Korean Series Most Valuable Player Award in 2016 and 2020.
