Macky Sall is a Senegalese politician who has been President of Senegal since April 2012. He was re-elected President in the first round voting in February 2019. Under President Abdoulaye Wade, Sall was Prime Minister of Senegal from July 2004 to June 2007 and President of the National Assembly from June 2007 to November 2008. He was the Mayor of Fatick from 2002 to 2008 and held that post again from 2009 to 2012. Sall was a long-time member of the Senegalese Democratic Party (PDS). After coming into conflict with Wade, he was removed from his post as President of the National Assembly in November 2008; he consequently founded his own party named the Alliance for the Republic (APR) and joined the opposition. Placing second in the first round of the 2012 presidential election, he won the backing of other opposition candidates and prevailed over Wade in the second round of voting, held on 25 March 2012. He is the first president born after Senegalese independence from France.
Local elections were held in Serbia on 11 May 2008, concurrently with the 2008 Serbian parliamentary election and the 2008 Vojvodina provincial election. A re-vote was held at three poling stations in Belgrade on 18 May 2008 due to irregularities in the voting process.

He has been serving as a Member of the National Assembly since 16 August 2018. He previously served in the National Assembly from 2009 to 2015. McGluwa served as a Member of the North West Provincial Legislature from 2015 to 2018.
Wendy Joy Nelson is a South African politician from the North West. She was the North West Finance, Economy and Enterprise Development MEC from 2015 to 2018, and the North West Tourism MEC from 2018 to 2019. She was also a Member of the North West Provincial Legislature for the African National Congress (ANC) from 2014 to 2019. She briefly served as the acting Premier of North West in 2018. She was a Member of the National Assembly from 2009 to 2014. Nelson had also been involved in the local politics of the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality.
Ignatius Michael "Michal" Groenewald is a South African politician serving as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa. A member of the Freedom Front Plus (FF+), he is the party's provincial leader in the North West. Groenewald serves alongside his father and party leader, Pieter Groenewald, in Parliament. He was previously a municipal councillor in the Matlosana Local Municipality.
Philippus Adriaan van Staden, known as Philip van Staden, is a South African politician from Gauteng. He has been serving as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa for the Freedom Front Plus (FF+) since 2019. He previously represented the FF+ in the Gauteng Provincial Legislature from 2014 to 2019. Van Staden was a municipal councillor of the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality from 2011 to 2014.
Boitumelo Elizabeth "Pinky" Moloi is a South African politician who is currently serving as the Deputy Minister of Employment and Labour. She was formerly the Executive Mayor of Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality in the North West province. She is a member of the African National Congress (ANC) and in 2017 was elected to a second five-year term on its National Executive Committee.
Matthews Johannes Wolmarans is a South African politician who has been a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since 2019. A member of the African National Congress, he previously served in the assembly between 2017 and 2019. Wolmarans is also a former mayor of the Rustenburg Local Municipality.
Thembeka Vuyisile Buyisile Mchunu is a South African politician from KwaZulu-Natal serving as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since 2019. A member of the African National Congress, she served as the Executive Mayor of the Uthungulu District Municipality from 2011 to 2016. She is married to Senzo Mchunu, the current Minister of Water and Sanitation and the former premier of KwaZulu-Natal.
Nicholas Georg Myburgh is a South African farmer, lawyer and politician for the Democratic Alliance. He has been a Member of Parliament (MP) since 2021. Myburgh had previously served as the Executive Mayor of the Swellendam Local Municipality from 2011 to 2021.
Mlindi Advent Nhanha is a South African politician and businessman from the Eastern Cape who has served as a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces since 2019. Nhanha is a member of the Democratic Alliance.
Thabo Manyoni is a South African politician who was the Mayor of Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality from 2011 to 2016. He represented his party, the African National Congress (ANC), in the Free State Executive Council from 2009 to 2011 and in the National Assembly from 2016 to 2017. He was Deputy Provincial Chairperson of the ANC's Free State branch from 2008 to 2017. Thamsanqa China Dodovu is a South African politician who is currently serving as a Delegate to the National Council of Provinces since May 2019. He was formerly the Mayor of Klerksdorp's Matlosana Local Municipality and served as the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Local Government and Traditional Affairs in the North West provincial government from May 2012 until June 2013. Dodovu is a member of the African National Congress and served as the party's Deputy Provincial Chairperson in the North West from 2011 to 2015.
Vumile Gladman Lwana is a South African politician who has represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature since September 2014. He was formerly the Mayor of Makana Local Municipality from 2000 to 2006 and from 2009 to 2011.
Sithole Assistance Mshudulu was a South African politician who represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2008. He later represented the ANC as a local councillor in Gauteng, including as Mayor of Emfuleni Local Municipality.
Yusuf Suleman Bhamjee is a South African politician, academic, and former anti-apartheid activist. He was the Mayor of uMgungundlovu District Municipality in KwaZulu-Natal from 2008 to 2016. Nthibane Rebecca "Pinky" Mokoto is a South African politician from the North West. She represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly for two non-consecutive terms from 2004 to 2009 and from 2014 to 2019. In the interim, she was Mayor of the North West's Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality from 2009 to 2011.
