Gymnastics is a type of sport that includes physical exercises requiring balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, and endurance. The movements involved in gymnastics contribute to the development of the arms, legs, shoulders, back, chest, and abdominal muscle groups. Gymnastics evolved from exercises used by the ancient Greeks that included skills for mounting and dismounting a horse, and from circus performance skills.
Trampolining or trampoline gymnastics is a competitive Olympic sport in which athletes perform acrobatics while bouncing on a trampoline. In competition, these can include simple jumps in the straight, pike, tuck, or straddle position to more complex combinations of forward and/or backward somersaults and twists. Scoring is based on the difficulty and on the total seconds spent in the air. Points are deducted for bad form and horizontal displacement from the center of the bed.
Karen Cockburn is a Canadian trampoline gymnast. She won a bronze medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in the individual event. She won a gold medal at the 2003 Trampoline World Championships in Hannover, Germany in the same event and a bronze in the team event. At the 2004 Summer Olympics and 2008 Summer Olympics, she won a silver medal in the individual event.
Anastasia "Nastia" Valeryevna Liukin is a Russian-born American former artistic gymnast. She is the 2008 Olympic all-around champion, a five-time Olympic medalist, the 2005 and 2007 World champion on the balance beam, and the 2005 World champion on the uneven bars. She is also a four-time all-around U.S. national champion, winning twice as a junior and twice as a senior. With nine World Championships medals, seven of them individual, Liukin is tied with Shannon Miller for the third-highest tally of World Championship medals among U.S. gymnasts. Liukin also tied Miller's record as the American gymnast having won the most medals in a single non-boycotted Olympic Games. In October 2011, Liukin announced that she was returning to gymnastics with the hopes of making a second Olympic team. Liukin did not make the 2012 Olympic team and retired from the sport on July 2, 2012.

Susannah Johnson is an American gymnast. She was a senior-level gymnast for the United States Gymnastics national team. Johnson retired in November 2009 after the Trampoline and Tumbling World Championships and is now a trampoline instructor.
The Trampoline and Tumbling Gymnastics World Championships are the world championships for trampoline gymnastics including Double mini trampoline and Tumbling (gymnastics). They were originally held annually from 1964–1968. The frequency was switched to biennially from 1970–1998. The admission of trampolining to the Olympic Games required a switch to holding the World Championship as a qualifier in the year before the Olympics from 1999.
Emma Smith is a British trampoline gymnast and champion best known for holding the world record for difficulty of routine performed in competition by a woman. The difficulty was 16.00DD and was achieved on 8 October 2011 in Odense, Denmark. She is also the only woman to have competed three triple somersaults in a routine.
Steven Gluckstein is a former American 2012 Olympian in gymnastic trampoline. He is a six-time National Men's US Trampoline Champion, five-time National US Men's Synchronized Trampoline Champion, and a six-time World Team member. In 2009, he and his partner Logan Dooley were the first gymnastic trampolinists in Team USA history to win a gold medal at a World Cup Series event. Gluckstein retired from competitive gymnastics in 2016 and is currently the head coach of the Junior U.S. National Trampoline team, as well as a trainer at Elite Trampoline Academy in New Jersey. He also regularly works with his wife, Camilla Lopes Gomes, a top-ranked Brazilian trampolinist, training for a spot at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Logan Dooley is an American trampoline gymnast. Dooley has competed at both American national and international level and was named as one of the "Fresh Faces of the 2012 Summer Olympics" by USA Today.
Judy Wills Cline is a retired American trampoline gymnast and acrobat. Between 1964 and 1968 she won ten world titles in the trampoline, synchronized trampoline, and tumbling. She was the first world champion in these events and the only athlete to win the world championships in both trampoline and tumbling. She is listed in the Guinness Book of Records for winning most world individual titles in trampoline (5); and for performing most bounding whips (26), bounding fulls (16) and bounding double-fulls (8), all accomplished on a firm floor. She won 38 national titles in the trampoline, tumbling, vault, and floor exercise. In 1993 she was inducted to the U.S. Gymnastics Hall of Fame.
MyKayla Brooke Skinner Harmer is an American former artistic gymnast. She was the 2020 Olympic vault silver medalist and was an alternate for the 2016 Olympic team. Skinner competed at the 2014 World Championships where she contributed to the U.S. team's gold medal, also winning an individual bronze medal on vault. She won 11 total medals at the USA National Championships during her senior career. She also competed for the University of Utah's gymnastics team and was a two-time NCAA champion.
Jordan Ramos is a British sprinter, former British Gymnast, five-times British Tumbling (gymnastics) Champion, a European Silver Medallist, a Guinness World Records Breaker for the longest slam dunk from a trampoline. Jordan Ramos also entered into the 2011 edition of the Guinness World Records book, for the farthest basketball slam dunk from a trampoline.
Erin Jauch is an American trampoline gymnast. Jauch competed in the 2014 World Trampoline and Tumbling Championships at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach and won the women's double-mini gold medal. Erin retired from the sport in 2016.
Ashton Taylor Locklear is a retired American artistic gymnast from North Carolina. She was a member of the gold medal-winning United States team at the 2014 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, and is a two-time national champion on the uneven bars. Locklear was an uneven bars specialist and was an alternate for the 2016 Summer Olympics U.S. gymnastics team, the Final Five.
These are four lists of achievements in major international gymnastics events according to first-place, second-place and third-place results obtained by gymnasts representing different nations. Charlotte Frances Drury is an American trampoline gymnast. At the 2014 Minsk World Cup, she finished at the top of the podium in the individual event, becoming the first American woman to win a gold medal in trampoline at a World Cup. That same year, she was crowned national champion at the USA Gymnastics Championships. She has been a member of the US Trampoline and Tumbling National Team since 2011, and was an alternate at the 2020 Summer Olympics games in Tokyo.
Bruno Rosas Martini is a Brazilian double-mini and tumbling trampoline gymnast, representing his nation at international competitions. At the 2008 Pan American Trampoline and Tumbling Championships he won two silver medal and at the 2010 Pan American Trampoline and Tumbling Championships a gold and a silver medal. He competed at world championships, including at the 2009, 2011 and 2013 Trampoline World Championships, winning the silver medal in 2011 the double-mini team event. At the 2013 World Games he won the gold medal in the individual event.
Frank K. Schmitz was an American trampoline gymnast who won four individual NCAA titles and a silver medal at the 1965 Trampoline World Championships.
