Kamaljeet (born 22 August 2003) is an Indian sport shooter who competes in the 50 meter free pistol and 10 meter air pistol. He won Gold at the 2023 ISSF Junior World Championships in the 50m free pistol event. [3] [4]
50 meter pistol, formerly and unofficially still often called Free Pistol, is one of the ISSF shooting events. It is one of the oldest shooting disciplines, dating back to the 19th century and only having seen marginal rule changes since 1936. It is considered to provide some of the purest precision shooting among the pistol events. The target of this event has not changed since 1900, and the 50m distance has remained the standard since 1912. The sport traced back to the beginning of indoor Flobert pistol parlour shooting in Europe during the 1870s.
The ISSF World Shooting Championships are governed by the International Shooting Sport Federation. World Shooting Championships began in 1897, after the successful 1896 Summer Olympics, and although the ISSF was not founded until 1907, these early competitions are still seen by the organization as the beginning of a continuous row of championships. By this logic, the 2006 competition in Zagreb was called the 49th ISSF World Shooting Championships. These championships, including all ISSF shooting events, are held every four years since 1954. For the shotgun events only, there is an additional World Championship competition in odd-numbered years. These extra competitions are not numbered. In running target, there will be World Championships in Olympic years.

Pang Wei is a Chinese Olympic sport shooter. He won a gold medal in the 10 metre air pistol at the 2008 Summer Olympics and a bronze medal in the same event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He also won the 2006 ISSF World Shooting Championships in the same event, at the age of 20.

Shooting competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo were originally scheduled from 25 July to 3 August 2020, due to the postponement of the Summer Olympics to 2021, the rescheduled dates were on 24 July to 2 August 2021 at the Asaka Shooting Range. Seonaid McIntosh is a British sports shooter who became the World Champion at the 2018 ISSF World Shooting Championships in the 50m Prone Rifle event. In 2019 she became Britain's most successful female rifle shooter of all time, winning five World Cup medals. She also became the first British Woman to rank World #1 for the 50m Rifle Three Position event and became European Champion in the 300m Rifle Prone event with an equal World Record score.
Anish Bhanwala is an Indian pistol shooter who competes in the 25 meter rapid fire pistol, 25 meter pistol, and 25 meter standard pistol events. He has been a part of the Indian shooting team since 2017. Amanpreet Singh is an Indian Shooter. He is from Phillaur, Jalandhar, Punjab who competes in the 50 meter pistol and 10 meter air pistol events. Amanpreet won the silver in Men's 50 meter pistol at the 2017 ISSF World Cup, New Delhi and won the bronze at 2017 ISSF World Cup Final, New Delhi.
Adarsh Singh is an Indian sport shooter who competes in the 25 meter rapid fire pistol and 10 meter air pistol. He won silver at the ISSF World Cup 2021(New Delhi) in the 25m Rapid Fire Men Team Event. He has also won Gold at South Asian Games 2019 and Bronze at Asian Shooting Championship the same year . Recently he has added a Bronze Medal to his Tally at the Asian Games 2022.
Saurabh Chaudhary is an Indian sport shooter. He won the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games in 10 m air pistol and became the youngest Indian gold medalist to do so. He has won gold medals and set a new world record at the Junior World Cup. He has won gold medals at the World Championships, World Cup, Youth Olympic Games, Asian Games and Asian Championships. He broke his own world record with a score of 245.5 and claimed gold in junior men's 10m air pistol at the 2018 World Championships.
Amit Sheoran is a pistol shooting coach, who also competed at a national level, He had to leave shooting due to the death of his father. He has produced several national and international-level Indian pistol shooters. He has coached Saurabh Chaudhary.
Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar is an Indian sport shooter. He won the bronze medal in the 50 metre rifle three positions event at the 2019 Asian Shooting Championships and secured a quota place for India at the 2020 Summer Olympics. He will represent India in his second Olympics at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. He will take part in men's 50m rifle 3 positions event.

Esha Singh is an Indian sport shooter. She became the youngest national champion in the 10 meter air pistol in 2018 at the age of 13. Besides 10 meter air pistol, she also competes in 25 meter standard pistol and 25 meter pistol events.

The 2021 European Shooting Championships were held from 22 May to 5 June 2021 in Osijek, Croatia. 1,473 athletes from 52 countries competed.
Udhayveer Sidhu is an Indian sport shooter who competes in the 25 meter rapid fire pistol, 25 meter pistol, 25 meter standard pistol and 10 meter air pistol. He won a twenty plus international medals representing India. He is in the Indian Shooting Team since 2018. In 2018 ISSF Junior World Cup he won the 25m pistol bronze at the Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany, and he and his twin brother Vijayveer Sidhu, along with Raj Kanwar Singh, claimed the Indian team's historic gold medal in the event with a world record score of 1747. He won two golds in 2018 ISSF World Shooting Championships. In 2019 he won two golds and a bronze in 2019 ISSF Junior World Cup and later at 2019 Asian Shooting Championships in 25 meter standard pistol he won a gold and a silver. In 2021 at 2021 ISSF Junior World Championships he won an individual gold. In 2022 at ISSF Junior World Cup held at Suhl, Germany he won the silver in 25 meter standard pistol open junior mixed team and later at 2022 ISSF World Shooting Championships he won two golds and a bronze.
Arjun Singh Cheema is an Indian sport shooter from Punjab. He competes in the 10m air pistol discipline. He was part of the Indian shooting team that won the 10m air pistol team gold at the 2022 Asian Games, Hangzhou, China.
Jenny Vatne is a Norwegian sports shooter. As of October 2023, she has won four team medals at ISSF World Championships, as well as two medals at European Shooting Championships.
