Reception

A critic from The Times of India wrote that "It’s a yawn fest, watch it only if you are in the mood to well, doze". [5] A critic from 123telugu wrote that "‘Kameena’ is a poor remake of a critically acclaimed Bollywood film. Except for the presence of a few seasoned actors, there is nothing in this movie for viewers". [6] A critic from Filmibeat wrote that "Overall, Kameena is an average fare and a poor remake of critically-acclaimed Hindi movie Johny Gaddaar". [7] A critic from India Herald wrote that "It has been a while since Chenna made a film in Telugu and it is obvious that he underestimates the viewer’s here. It is a simple story that unveils at a leisurely pace and often, in a disturbingly and predictable way". [8] A critic from Full Hyderabad wrote that "Overall, Kamina is a feeble attempt at remaking a good movie that actually worked. It is an interesting story gone awry, stuck with bad performances and worse technical values". [9]
