Kamren Curl (born March 3, 1999) is an American football safety for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Arkansas and was drafted by the Washington Football Team in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Curl was born on March 3, 1999, in San Diego, California. He and his family later moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma, where he attended Muskogee High School. A three-star recruit, Curl committed to Arkansas over offers from schools such as Baylor, Nebraska, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas, and Texas Tech. [1] As a true freshman there, he started 12 games at cornerback before switching to safety for his sophomore season, where he had 53 tackles and five pass breakups in 11 games. [2] [3] As a junior, Curl had 76 tackles, two interceptions, and two sacks. [4]

Curl was selected by the Washington Redskins in the seventh round (216th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. [7] He signed his four-year rookie contract on July 22, 2020. [8] Curl took over as the starting strong safety after Landon Collins suffered a season-ending injury in Week 8. [9] The following week against the New York Giants, Curl led the team with 11 tackles and recorded his first career sack. [10] He recorded his first career interception in a Week 14 game against the San Francisco 49ers, which he also returned 76 yards for a touchdown. [11] He finished the season with 3 interceptions, 88 tackles, 2 quarterback sacks and 4 passes defended.
In the 2021 Week 10 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Curl popped the ball loose from Buccaneers receiver Jaelon Darden which was intercepted by cornerback William Jackson III. [12] On December 16, 2021, Curl was placed on the team's COVID-19 reserve list and was forced to miss the Week 15 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. [13] He was placed back on the active roster on December 24. [14]
After receiving thumb surgery on his right hand, Curl missed Weeks 1 and 2 of the 2022 season. [15] He finished the 2022 season with 83 tackles and one sack over 12 games. [16]
On March 18, 2024, Curl signed a two-year contract with the Los Angeles Rams. [17]

John Terrence Lynch Jr. is an American football executive and former safety who is the general manager of the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Stanford and was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third round of the 1993 NFL draft, later winning Super Bowl XXXVII with them. Lynch also spent four seasons with the Denver Broncos before retiring in 2008 and working as a color commentator for NFL on Fox games until being named general manager of the 49ers in 2017. He made nine Pro Bowls during his career and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021.
Malcolm Jenkins is an American former professional football player who was a safety for 13 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes, earning consensus All-American honors, and winning the Jim Thorpe Award as a senior. Mark Barron is a former American football linebacker. He played college football at Alabama, where he was twice recognized as an All-American, and was a member of two BCS National Championship teams. Jason Andrew Pierre-Paul is an American football linebacker who is a free agent. He played college football for the South Florida Bulls and was selected by the New York Giants in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft. With the Giants, Pierre-Paul made two Pro Bowls, was first-team All-Pro and won Super Bowl XLVI. With the Buccaneers, Pierre-Paul made his third Pro Bowl and won Super Bowl LV.

Tyrann Devine Mathieu is an American football safety for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at LSU. In college he developed a reputation for causing turnovers, setting a Southeastern Conference (SEC) record with 11 career forced fumbles and earning the nickname "the Honey Badger" after the mammal of the same name. In his sophomore season, he was recognized as a consensus All-American, won the Chuck Bednarik Award as the best defensive player in college football, and was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy. Mathieu was dismissed from the LSU football program after that season due to a violation of team rules.
Harrison Smith, nicknamed "Harry the Hitman", is an American football safety for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and was selected by the Vikings in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft with the 29th overall pick.
Deone Ariel Bucannon is a former American football linebacker. He was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft. He played college football at Washington State.
