Kane Alexander is an Australian jazz singer, classical singer, and television actor. He has appeared on Blue Heelers , Neighbours , Stingers and Good Morning Australia .
Kane Alexander grew up in Victoria, Australia, where he was raised on an isolated farm in the Victoria's wheat-belt. At the age of six, he discovered a box of old records belonging to his grandparents in an old shed. These included artists such as Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and Slim Dusty. One of the records was by Mario Lanza, who he thanks for sparking his lifelong love for operatic and classical singing.[ citation needed ]
Alexander is best known for his lead roles he has performed on the Australian stage. Some of his most well-known roles include Bobby Strong in Melbourne Theatre Company's Urinetown , Claude in Hair, Willard in Footloose, Billy Crocker in Anything Goes , and the Scarecrow in the Sydney season of The Wizard Of Oz. He has also appeared in the 10th-anniversary production of Les Misérables, South Pacific, Only Heaven Knows and Angry Penguins.[ citation needed ]
In 2000, Kane took his cabaret show to New York. There he appeared at the FireBird Cafe and Algonquin Hotel's Oak Room. In the 2001 New York Cabaret Awards, he was named "Best New Voice" in the Theatermania Cabaret list. He won both the BISTRO and MAC Awards for "Most Outstanding Debut". Furthermore, he became "Critic's Pick" in the New York Post, and "Pick of the Week" in New York's Time Out Magazine for three consecutive weeks. In 2002, he was requested to perform alongside Natalie Cole at Rupert Murdoch's 70th birthday party, hosted in New York.[ citation needed ]
After his return to Australia, he was a finalist in the Arts section of the 2001 Young Australian of the Year Awards, and nominated for a MO Award for his performance in Footloose. Kane also completed a tour with the Australian Philharmonic Orchestra, performing The Music of Lerner & Loewe at concert halls around Australia.[ citation needed ]
Alexander made several television appearances, such as Good Morning Australia, Denise, The Midday Show, In Melbourne Tonight, Carols By Candlelight and The Good Friday Appeal Gala, along with roles in Late For School, Neighbours, Water Rats and Stingers. He also appeared as a guest performer on the 18 June 2006 special broadcast of The Footy Show which was filmed in Munich in which he performed the song "Timeless" with Australian icon Tina Arena. The show was specially broadcast in support of the Australian soccer team for the 2006 world cup.[ citation needed ]

The concept of this album emerged from Kane's passion for pop, opera, and the sweeping orchestration of the most memorable movie themes.
"I wanted to make an album that moved people, with songs that told a story. I wanted to take the listener on a journey. But I wanted a cinematic sound. I wanted the orchestra to be scored the way a film score would be scored. This had to be an album that I wanted to listen to myself," said Kane. [1]
According to his Myspace page, Alexander has stated that he was happy that Sony BMG allowed him to spend three years capturing his vision for the album. This allowed him to get the right producer and sound for the record. The debut album was recorded in Stockholm and London, with the efforts of producers and songwriters such as Andes Bagge, Quiz & Larossi, Tom Nichols, Tim Baxter, and Sigurd Rosnes as well as members of the Stockholm Symphony Orchestra (who appear on every track).
Come Vivrei is an enchanting Italian adaption of Trisha Yearwood's Grammy award-winning song, "How Do I Live", whereas other classics included are the poetic "Kiss From A Rose" by Seal, and "Crying" by Roy Orbison, both reworked into baritone adaptions from their original versions. Much loved classics "Le Cose Che Sei Per Me", "Di Sole E D'Azzuro" and "Nella Fantasia" are also included. This album also contains the origin of the Tina Arena duet, with a studio version of the song "Timeless" that they subsequently performed for The Footy Show.
Alexander professes that he never saw himself as a writer, yet contributed his songwriting talents to co-writing two songs on the album, opener "Escape" and epilogue "Breathe". These were co-written with Andes Bagge and Tom Nichols.

Greatest Hits 1994–2004 is the second compilation album by Australian singer Tina Arena, released by Columbia Records in Australia on 25 October 2004. It is a greatest hits album that contains all the singles released during her ten years signed with Columbia and also features two new songs. A limited edition was released with a second disc containing her non-English language singles. This compilation album was also released in DVD format and featured all of the music videos she did with Sony plus music videos for several of Arena's French hits. The DVD had the same cover as this audio release. Arena states that all the songs on the album are deeply personal and represent different periods and experiences of her life. Greatest Hits 1994–2004 debuted in the top ten on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart making the album Arena's fourth top ten album. The album only produced one single, "Italian Love Song", which failed to make a major impact on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart just managing a peak within the top forty.
"Vivre" is a song written by Luc Plamondon and Riccardo Cocciante for the musical Notre-Dame de Paris. It was recorded in 1997 by Noa and included on the Notre-Dame de Paris album (1998). The song was also recorded by Hélène Ségara in 1998, who was selected to play Esméralda in the musical, following the withdrawal of Noa. Celine Dion recorded an English-language version titled "Live " with lyrics by Will Jennings and included it on her 1999 greatest hits compilation, All the Way... A Decade of Song. In 2000, Dion's version and another recording of "Live " by Tina Arena were included on the English-language version of Notre-Dame de Paris album.
"Timeless" is the debut single by Chinese singer Zhang Liyin featuring Xia Junsu, released on September 8, 2006 in South Korea by SM Entertainment. Its a remake song of Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini's duet, originally recorded in 2003 for the film From Justin to Kelly; it has also been remade by Tina Arena and Kane Alexander in 2006.

The song became Arena's fifth top-10 single in Australia and her sixth top-50 single in France, where the song was recorded in French under the title "Symphonie de l'âme". Arena stated that the song challenged her and that she is proud of the song.

Big winners for the year were Silverchair with five awards and Tina Arena with four, including Album of the Year and Song of the Year – both first time they were won by a female.

Live: The Onstage Collection is the third live album released by the Australian singer and songwriter Tina Arena on 15 January 2010. The album was recorded at the Arts Centre Melbourne during her 2009 Love & Loss Tour and features two duets with her fellow Australian singer Kane Alexander.

The first single and only single, "I Want to Love You" was released on 4 September 2015. Arena described Eleven as a "personal album" that was "joyous to make". Arena hinted at a tour, saying "I'm looking forward to playing the songs for you live soon". This was further confirmed in a radio interview on 3AW on 1 September when Arena stated she would be on the road February–March 2016. The album was certified gold in Australia in 2016.
