Kangan (transl. Bangles) is a 1971 Hindi film starring Mala Sinha and Sanjeev Kumar. The film was a remake of the 1963 Telugu film Eedu Jodu , starring Jamuna, Jaggaiah and Gummadi respectively in the roles of Mala Sinha, Sanjeev Kumar and Ashok Kumar. [1]

It stars Sanjeev Kumar and Deven Verma in double roles, and directed by Gulzar. which was a remake of 1963 Bengali language comedy film Bhranti Bilas, a Uttam Kumar classic that is based on Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar's Bengali novel by the same name, which itself is based on Shakespeare's play The Comedy of Errors Do Dooni Chaar 1968 Film also remake from the same Film and was also adapted by Rohit Shetty as Cirkus. All characters are naïve and destiny plays the main role in bringing all characters to one place. R.'s earlier film Naya Daur. The film stars Rajendra Kumar, Mala Sinha, Nanda, Leela Chitnis, Jeevan, Manmohan Krishna, and Ashok Kumar. The story revolves around a Muslim man bringing up an "illegitimate" Hindu child and featured the classic song Too Hindu Banega Na Musalman Banega, Insaan Ki Aulaad Hai, Insaan Banega on Manmohan Krishna, who also won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Abdul Rasheed. Besides that, Sinha received a nomination for Best Actress and Mukhram Sharma for Best Story. The movie was remade in Telugu as Jeevana Teeralu.

The music was composed by Ravi and the lyrics were by Sahir Ludhianvi. The film was a box office success. It was remade in Malayalam as Vivahitha (1970). For her performance, Shashikala won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.
