The following season a further first-class match was held when Himachal Pradesh played Hyderabad in the 2002/03 Ranji Trophy. No further major matches have been staged there.

The following season a further first-class match was held when Himachal Pradesh played Haryana in the 1996/97 Ranji Trophy. Three seasons later the ground held a third first-class match between Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir in the 1999/00 Ranji Trophy. Three List A matches have also been held on the ground, with the first coming in the 1995/96 Ranji Trophy one-day competition when Himachal Pradesh played Jammu and Kashmir. The others followed when Himachal Pradesh played Haryana in the 1996/97 competition and when Himachal Pradesh played Jammu and Kashmir in the 1999/00 competition. No further major matches have been staged there.

The first List A match held on the ground came in the 1987/88 Deodhar Trophy when the North Zone played the South Zone. Himachal Pradesh first played a List A match there in 1994/95 Ranji Trophy one-day competition when Punjab were the visiting team. Between the 1994/95 season and the 1999/00 season, Himachal Pradesh played five List A fixtures there. The last game in that format to be held there came in the 2001/02 Deodhar Trophy when East Zone played the South Zone. It has 800m track.

The ground later held a List A match in 1997 when Himachal Pradesh played the Services in the 1999/00 Ranji Trophy one-day competition. Following this match, a first-class match was played there between the two sides in the Ranji Trophy. Nearly ten years later the ground held five List A matches in the 2008/09 Vijay Hazare Trophy. During the competition the Services cricket team heavily criticised the grounds playing conditions, citing the outfield as bumpy and potentially dangerous. They also criticised its general facilities, including a lack of changing facilities, with both teams having to change in a partitioned tent.

He made his first-class debut for Himachal Pradesh in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on 14 October 2017.
