Kanmani is an Indian film director who has worked on Tamil and Telugu and language films. After beginning his career in Tamil films, Kanmani has experienced more success in Telugu films.

Career

Kanmani completed a degree at Presidency College, Chennai before joining as a chorus singer to composer Ilaiyaraaja, and worked with him for twelve years. He then apprenticed under director Saran during the making of Gemini (2002), before making his debut with the low-budget romantic comedy Aahaa Ethanai Azhagu (2003) featuring Mithun Tejaswi and Charmy Kaur. He gained success with his next two ventures in Telugu, Naa Oopiri (2005) and Chinnodu (2006), before going on to make the social drama Call Center (2008) and the romantic comedy Odipolama (2009). In 2015, he made the Telugu film Beeruva before beginning work on the horror comedy Peigal Jaakirathai. [3] [4]

Muni is an Indian Tamil-language horror comedy film series created and directed by Raghava Lawrence who also appeared in lead roles in all the films. The first film is Muni (2007) and the second is Muni 2: Kanchana (2011) with the third installment of the franchise titled Muni 3: Kanchana 2: Ganga (2015). The latest movie, the fourth instalment is Muni 4: Kanchana 3 (2019). and stars Raghava Lawrence and Kovai Sarala with Rajkiran, Sarathkumar, Devadarshini, Sriman, Vedhika, Vinu Chakravarthy, Raai Laxmi, Nithya Menon, Taapsee, Renuka, Oviya, Nikki Tamboli, Alexandra Ri Djavi. All films were successful at the box office, continuing the trend of the comedy-horror genre in Tamil cinema that began with Chandramukhi (2005).

<i>O Kadhal Kanmani</i> 2015 film by Mani Ratnam

O Kadhal Kanmani, also known as OK Kanmani, is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film written, directed and produced by Mani Ratnam. The film stars Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen, portraying a young couple in a live-in relationship in Mumbai. Prakash Raj and Leela Samson play supporting roles as an older couple in the film, portraying the younger couple's landlords. The film was said to be a "reflection of the modern mindset of urban India", dealing with issues such as marriage and traditional values. The film featured music composed by A. R. Rahman, cinematography by P. C. Sreeram and editing by Sreekar Prasad.

Shanmugam Saravanan is an Indian cinematographer and film director who works mainly in the Indian film industry. He is an alumnus of the M.G.R. Government Film and Television Training Institute. He started his career with Poove Unakkaga, a Tamil romantic film starring Vijay and Sangita and was released in the year 1996. He debuted as a director by his directorial venture Silambattam. Saravanan is well known for his association with Directors Vikraman and Suresh Krissna. He has worked as a cinematographer in more than 25 films in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
