Kape at Balita (transl.Coffee and News) is a Philippine television news broadcasting show broadcast by GMA Network and GMA News TV. Originally hosted by Jessica Soho and Bobby Guanzon, it premiered on February 11, 1991 and concluded on GMA Network on December 3, 1993. The show returned on October 22, 2012 on GMA News TV. The show concluded on August 16, 2013. [1] [2]

History

Kape at Balita premiered on February 11, 1991, anchored by Jessica Soho and Bobby Guanzon. The program shown simultaneously on GMA Network and DZBB 594 AM, it was one of the first TV-radio simulcast program, with Guanzon anchoring the show from the DZBB studio, and Soho hosting from the GMA News studio. It ended on December 3, 1993.

On October 22, 2012, Kape at Balita returned on air with new hosts and it was transferred to GMA News TV. Susan Enriquez [3] serves as the main anchor of the program with DZBB anchor Joel Reyes Zobel, Michael Fajatin, Mariz Umali, and Valerie Tan as co-hosts. The program ended on August 16, 2013.

He started his career as a radio broadcaster in 1969, and after signing with GMA Network in 1995, he became a TV anchor for Saksi and 24 Oras. He was also the Consultant for radio operations of GMA Network, and president of the network's regional and radio subsidiary, RGMA Network Inc., and the Station Manager of Super Radyo DZBB 594 AM.

The 27th PMPC Star Awards for Television ceremony was held at the AFP Theater in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on November 24, 2013, and broadcast over ABS-CBN Channel 2 on December 1, 2013. The ceremony was hosted by Alex and Toni Gonzaga, Raymond and Richard Gutierrez and directed by Al Quinn. The theme is in coincidence with the Philippine Television's 60th anniversary.

Marie Grace Michelle Bade Umali-Tima, widely known as Mariz Umali, is a Filipino television news anchor and journalist. She is known for being the main newscaster of the weekend edition of GMA News TV's Balitanghali. She finished broadcast communications course at the University of the Philippines Diliman but she started as a pharmacy student. She started to work at GMA Network as a researcher and producer of news content for the 2001 Philippine general elections. Besides Balitanghali, she also appeared as host or documentarian in other television shows such as i-Witness, Out of Control and Born to Be Wild. Roberto "Bobby" Samar Guanzon was a Filipino radio and television broadcaster and politician.

Mark Pegenia Salazar is a Filipino journalist, television news producer, newscaster, field reporter, & host. He is currently serving as the co-host of iJuander on GTV and the radio program Usap Tayo: Super Kwentuhan with Mark and Susan on DZBB-AM, both alongside Susan Enriquez.
