The Ferdinand Bordewijk Prize is a literary award, presented annually by the Jan Campert Foundation to the author of the best Dutch prose book. The prize was established in 1948 as the Vijverberg Prize, before being named after the Dutch author Ferdinand Bordewijk in 1979. As of 2024 the prize includes a cash prize of €6000.
Jacques Vriens is a Dutch children's author and playwright. He is known for his 1999 book Achtste-groepers huilen niet, which was twice adapted into a film. Vriens formerly worked as a schoolteacher and has written for the show Tien torens diep. In 2001 he was appointed to the Order of the Netherlands Lion by Queen Beatrix.
Kapitein Rob was a Dutch adventure comic strip, created and drawn by Pieter Kuhn and written by journalist Evert Werkman. The series ran from December 11, 1945 until January 21, 1966. Together with Marten Toonder's Tom Poes and Hans G. Kresse's Eric de Noorman it is considered to be among the Big Three in the history of Dutch comics.

He participated in the TV series Theo en Thea, Kreatief met Kurk and 30 minuten and played in the musicals Hairspray and Lang en Gelukkig. He wrote the play Moord in de Kerststal. Ederveen owns a TV production company, called De Toko. His manager is Evelien Jansen.
