The Pakistan Navy Dockyard, officially known as the PN Dockyard, is a naval base located off the Karachi coast and adjacent to the commercial premises of the KESW Ltd. and the PNS Qasim. [1]
It is also the only submarine construction base for the Pakistan Navy.[ citation needed ]

Commander Pakistan Fleet (COMPAK) is a formal title in the Pakistan Navy to denote the head of Pakistan Fleet Command. The Hangor-class submarines are a class of diesel–electric attack submarines currently being manufactured by a joint-partnership of the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC) and the Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW) for the Pakistan Navy (PN). Eponymously christened after the former-Daphné-class submarines that the PN operated between 1970 and 2006, the class is an export derivative of the Chinese-origin Type 039A/041 attack submarine, currently operated by the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN). First unveiled to the public in 2018, the future submarines are envisaged to undertake anti-access/area denial operations within Pakistan's exclusive economic zone, through the use of heavyweight torpedoes and anti-ship cruising missiles.
111 ASW Squadron also known by their nickname the Arabian sharks is a helicopter squadron of the Pakistan Naval Air Arm. It is based at PNS Mehran and operates Westland Sea King helicopters deployed aboard various ships of the Pakistan Navy. The squadron was established in September 1974 at its home base as an Anti-submarine warfare squadron.

The command also contributes to the modernization, repair, rebuilding, and construction of ships and submarines, including both independent operations and collaborations with designated yards for shipbuilding and repairs.
