Karnataka Ganakala Parishat (also Ganakala Parishath) is an annual conference of Carnatic music held in February. The first conference was conducted in the year 1970 under the presidency of Vidwan B.S. Raja Iyengar. Over a period of several days (16 days in 2020), lecture demonstrations are given in the mornings, and four musical performances are given every afternoon and evening. The conference confers the title of "Ganakalabhushana" every year on a veteran musician, and "Ganakalashree" on a young musician. [1]
Since 2004, the conference has been presided over by Vidwan R.K. Padmanabha, who has sought to hold the conference in a variety of locations, including Ramanathapuram, Nanjangud, Holenarasipura, Tumkur, Gadag, Bijapur, and Belur. [2]
Kannada Saahithya Parishath is an Indian non-profit organisation that promotes the Kannada language and its literature. Its headquarters are in the city of Bengaluru in the state of Karnataka, India. It strives to promote Kannada language through publishing books, organising literary seminars and promoting research projects. It also organises an annual conference on Kannada literature called Kannada Sahithya Sammelana. The current president of the parishat is Dr. Mahesh joshi.

It is held with the aim of preserving and developing the Kannada language, its literature, art, culture and music. It was started in 1915 by H. V. Nanjundaiah and held at Bangalore. It used to be inaugurated by prominent writers and poets from 1915 to 1948. Since then it has been inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Karnataka. The Kannada Sahitya Parishat is responsible for holding the gathering.

Manakkal Rangarajan was a Carnatic music singer who hailed from the village of Manakkal in Trichy District. His father was the late Santhana Krishna Bhagavathar. He had been singing for more than six decades and was performing even past his 80th year. He died on 26/2/2019 due to old age of 96.

His radio lessons and Bhakti Ranjanis were very popular. He was awarded Padma Bhushan award by the Government of India in 2010.

Vidwan Ballary M Raghavendra is a Carnatic vocalist from Karnataka. He has a bachelor's degree in commerce and also a master's degree in music from Bangalore University. He has served in various capacities across multiple All India Radio stations in Karnataka. Initially joining as a program executive, he later went on to become the Assistant Station Director in AIR. He had the rare privilege of being an A grade artist in devotional and light classical forms of music apart from Carnatic classical music. He is popularly known for delivering music compositions with lyrical clarity, emotion and good use of rhythmic patterns After his retirement from AIR, he is currently living in Mysore.
Gamaka Vidwan M S Ananthapadmanabha Rao was an Indian Kannada-language poet, writer, and gamaki. He was the author of the magnum opus Karnata Bharatha Kathamanjari containing the last eight parvas of the Kannada translation of the Mahabharatha that Kumaravyasa had left unfinished.
