Kasey Carlson (born November 26, 1991) is an American competition swimmer from Walnut Creek, California.
At the 2009 US National Championships and World Championship Trials, Carlson placed second to Rebecca Soni in the 100 m breaststroke with a time of 1:06.54, [1] earning a place to compete at the 2009 World Aquatics Championships in Rome.
At the World Championships, Carlson won the bronze medal in the 100 m breaststroke with a time of 1:05.75. [2] In the preliminaries of the 50 m breaststroke, Carlson broke the American record with a time of 30.34. [3] Carlson advanced to the final and placed sixth with a time of 30.65. Carlson's day-old American record was broken by Soni, who took the silver medal in 30.11. [4]
Carlson previously swam for Las Lomas High School and the Terrapins Swim Team when she won bronze medal in Rome before she switched to the Walnut Creek Aquabears Swim Team, and was coached by Mike Heaney. Her mother is a former national level swimmer who competed for Florida State. [5]
Carlson is a graduate of the University of Southern California [6] and her sister, Taylor, swam for the University of California Los Angeles.

Dana Whitney Vollmer is a former American competition swimmer, five-time Olympic gold medalist, and former world record-holder. At the 2004 Summer Olympics, she won a gold medal as a member of the winning United States team in the 4×200-meter freestyle relay that set the world record in the event. Eight years later at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Vollmer set the world record on her way to the gold medal in the 100-meter butterfly, and also won golds in the 4×100-meter medley relay and 4×200-meter freestyle relay. She won three medals including a gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Brendan Joseph Hansen is an American former competition swimmer who specialized in breaststroke events. Hansen is a six-time Olympic medalist, and is also a former world record-holder in both the 100-meter and 200-meter breaststroke events.
Vladislav Vitalyevich Polyakov is a Kazakhstani swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. He swam for his native Kazakhstan at three Olympic Games, and eventually finished fifth in both 100 and 200 m breaststroke at his official Olympic debut in Athens. In total, he has won eight medals in major international tournaments, including his first career gold from the 2006 FINA World Short Course Championships in Shanghai, China. Yuliya Andreyevna Yefimova is a Russian competitive swimmer. She is the Russian record holder in the 200 metre individual medley, 50 metre breaststroke, 100 metre breaststroke, and 200 metre breaststroke. After making her Olympic debut in 2008, she went on to win the bronze medal in the 200 metre breaststroke in 2012, and silver medals in the 100 metre and 200 metre breaststroke in 2016. Rebecca Soni is an American former competition swimmer and breaststroke specialist who is a six-time Olympic medalist. She is a former world record-holder in the 100-meter breaststroke and the 200-meter breaststroke, and is the first woman to swim the 200-meter breaststroke in under 2 minutes 20 seconds. As a member of the U.S. national team, she held the world record in the 4×100-meter medley relay from 2012 to 2017.
Alia Shanee Atkinson, OD is a Jamaican five-time Olympian and a former competitive swimmer whose international competition career spanned 19 years, 2003 to 2021 inclusive, at the senior level. At short course World Swimming Championships, she is a ten-time medalist in individual events, including four gold medals, four silver medals, and two bronze medals. Aksana Petrushenka also spelt as Oksana Petrushenka is a Belarusian deaf swimmer who is also a current world record holder among deaf swimmers in women's 100m and 200m breaststroke. She has represented Belarus at the Deaflympics in five occasions in 2001, 2005, 2009, 2013 and 2017. She is considered to be the second most decorated woman in Deaflympics history with a record haul of 28 medals, which is second highest among women in Deaflympics after Cindy-Lu Bailey.
