Air marshal Kashif Qamar HI(M), SI(M), TI(M) is a three star officer in the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), currently serving as the Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Support) at Air Headquarters, Islamabad.
Qamar was commissioned into the PAF's General Duties (Pilot) Branch in May 1991. Qamar commanded a fighter squadron, a flying wing, and an operational air base. [1] He also served as Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Safety) at Air Headquarters, Islamabad. [2]
In June 2021, he was promoted to the rank of Air Vice Marshal. [3] As an AVM, he served as Director General Logistics. [4]
In November 2024, Qamar was appointed as the Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Support) at Air Headquarters, Islamabad. In this role, he oversees the support functions of the Pakistan Air Force.
Qamar has been awarded various medals throughout his distinguished career, which includes Hilal-e-Imtiaz, Sitara-e-Imtiaz and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz [5] [6] [7]
