Katholieke Hogeschool Brugge Oostende (KHBO) was a college for higher education in Belgium which was founded in the 1990s. It was the result of a merger between two colleges from Ostend and three colleges from Bruges. In 2013, KHBO merged with KATHO (Katholieke Hogeschool Zuid-West-Vlaanderen) into Hogeschool VIVES. [1]
In Bruges, there were programmes in economics, healthcare and education. In 2008 a new campus became the home of the three departments in Bruges.
At the department of healthcare, there were programmes in midwifery, nursing, occupational therapy, speech therapy and audiology. At the department of education, there were programmes for a degree in early childhood education, primary school teacher and secondary school teacher. At the department of economics, there were programmes in management, hotel management and tourism.
In Ostend, there were curricula for bachelors and masters in engineering. The professional bachelors were on avionics, chemistry, electronics, ICT and mechanics. The master programmes were on civil engineering, mechanics, electronics and ICT.
As with most Catholic colleges in Flanders, KHBO was also a member of the K.U.Leuven Association.
Established in 1918, Tallinn University of Technology is the only technical university in Estonia. TalTech, in the capital city of Tallinn, is a university for engineering, business, public administration and maritime affairs. TalTech has colleges in Tartu and Kohtla-Järve. Isra University is a private university, legislated by the Isra University Act of 1997 [Sindh Act No. V of 1997], located in Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan. Fontys University of Applied Sciences is a Dutch university of applied sciences, located in the southern Netherlands. It has over 44,000 students in several campuses. The three largest Fontys campuses are located in the cities of Eindhoven, Tilburg and Venlo. The name Fontys comes from the Latin word "fons" which means "source". Thus, Fontys wants to highlight that it is a source of knowledge for students. Fontys offers 200 bachelor's and master's study programmes in the fields of economics, technology, health care, social work, sports and teacher training. Science and technology in Flanders, being the Flemish Community and more specifically the northern region of Belgium (Europe), is well developed with the presence of several universities and research institutes. These are strongly spread over all Flemish cities, from Kortrijk and Bruges in the Western side, over Ghent as a major university center alongside Antwerp, Brussels and Leuven to Hasselt and Diepenbeek in the Eastern side.
Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences is a large institute for higher professional education located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The AUAS mainly offers bachelor's degree programmes, but also has a number of (professional) master's degree programmes. For students from the AUAS' international partner institutes it is possible to study at the AUAS as an exchange student.
Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel was a Dutch language university founded in 2007. HUBrussel was the result of a merger between Brussels-based colleges European University College Brussels, Vlekho, HONIM and Catholic University of Brussels (KUBrussel).
The Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen was a university college where students could obtain a professional bachelor's degree in several domains. There was also the opportunity to study for a master's degree in engineering in agriculture (bioscience) or an engineering degree in electronics. In 2012 the institution fused with Lessius Mechelen and Lessius Antwerp under a new name: Thomas More University College.
The KU Leuven Association is a large Belgian association for higher education. The leading institute is the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.

Since September 1, 2002, KATHO was a member of the K.U.Leuven Association. In 2013, KATHO merged with Katholieke Hogeschool Vives Noord (KHBO) and formed Hogeschool VIVES.
AP or in full Artesis Plantijn University College Antwerp, founded in 1995, is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the city of Antwerp and created as a merger between Artesis Hogeschool Antwerpen and Plantijn Hogeschool.
The Louvain School of Engineering or École polytechnique de Louvain (EPL) is a faculty of the University of Louvain, Belgium, founded in 1864. Known as the Faculty of Applied Sciences prior to 2008, it currently operates on the campuses of Louvain-la-Neuve and UCLouvain Charleroi.
VIVES University of Applied Sciences is a University College in West Flanders. The name refers to the Spanish-Brussian humanist Juan Luis Vives. VIVES is the result of a merger between KATHO and KHBO in 2013.
