Katie Clarkson-Hill (born Katie Clarke) is an English actress.

Early life

From Doncaster, she attended The McAuley Catholic High School. She changed her professional name to Clarkson-Hill as Katie Clarke was already registered. [1]

Career

Clarkson-Hill made her acting start in a widely-seen 2015 advertisement for Wrigley's chewing gum entitled Sarah and Juan, in which she played an American high-schooler in love, set to a cover of Can't Help Falling in Love by Haley Reinhart, which garnered on-line praise. Her early television roles included long-running BBC serials Doctors and Holby City . [2] [3]

In 2019, Clarkson-Hill had a main role as Dr Zoe Wade in the second series of BBC One hospital drama Trust Me alongside John Hannah and Alfred Enoch. [4] [5] She appeared in the second series of Amazon Prime Video drama series Hanna and the American series Guilt . In 2023, she could be seen in Channel 4 series The Couple Next Door . [6] She has an upcoming role in Catalyst Studios film Switch & Bait alongside Otmara Marrero, directed by Michelle Salcedo. [7] [8] In 2024, she can be seen in racing drama film Race for Glory: Audi vs. Lancia with Riccardo Scamarcio. [9] [10]

Top Gear: Botswana Special is a full-length, special edition episode for BBC motoring programme Top Gear, and was first broadcast on BBC Two on 4 November 2007, as part of the fourth episode of Series 10. The special sees hosts, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, travelling across to Botswana with a car that each had bought in Africa for less than £1500, to prove that they can be better than SUVs for driving up "leafy country lanes". The Botswana Special was released as part of a 2-disc DVD boxset alongside the Top Gear: Vietnam Special on 23 March 2009. This special is best remembered for the car Hammond bought, which he fell in love with and named "Oliver", which he still owns to this day.

Gene Autry's Melody Ranch is a Western variety radio show in the United States. A 15-minute pilot show aired on December 31, 1939. The program ran from January 7, 1940 to August 1, 1943, and from September 23, 1945 to May 16, 1956. The show's entire run was broadcast over the CBS radio network, sponsored by Doublemint gum. The approximately two-year interruption resulted from Autry's enlistment in the United States Army to serve in World War II. Initially titled Doublemint's Melody Ranch, the show's name was changed to Gene Autry's Melody Ranch in early 1941. Episodes were 30 minutes long except for a 15-minute version that ran from September 23, 1945 to June 16, 1946. The theme song was "Back in the Saddle Again".

Better is the second studio album by American singer and songwriter Haley Reinhart. It was released on April 29, 2016 by music publishers Ole and Red Dot. Reinhart's cover of Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love" was released as the album's first promotional single on October 9, 2015. The lead single, "Better", was released on April 8, 2016, the same day that the album became available for pre-order. The album was met with positive reviews from critics, who praised its production, its fusion of genres and eras, Reinhart's voice and personality, and the album's overall message of empowerment. Better debuted at number 22 on the Independent Albums chart and sold 7,500 units in its first two weeks of release.
