Katja Stokholm (born June 19, 1996 in Odense) is a Danish model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Denmark 2019 pageant and will represent Denmark at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant. [1]

Pageantry

On 7 June 2019, Stokholm was crowned as Miss Denmark 2019 at Cirkusbygningen in Copenhagen replacing outgoing Helena Heuser. The newly crowned queen's court included Sabrina Jovanovic announced as first runner-up, followed by Maria Mawuena as second runner-up. As Miss Denmark, Stokholm represented Denmark at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant where Catriona Gray of the Philippines will crown her successor at the end of the event. [2]

Michelle McLean of Namibia was crowned by Lupita Jones of Mexico at the event's conclusion. This is the first and so far only time that Namibia won the pageant.

Miss Universe 2015, the 64th Miss Universe pageant, was held on December 20, 2015 at The AXIS in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Paulina Vega of Colombia crowned her successor Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines at the end of the event. After 42 years, this is the third time the Philippines won Miss Universe, after Margarita Moran in 1973. 80 contestants competed for the crown.

Miss International 2017 57th Miss International competition, beauty pageant edition

Miss International 2017, the 57th Miss International pageant, was held on November 14, 2017 at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Kylie Verzosa of the Philippines crowned her successor Kevin Lilliana of Indonesia at the end of the event. This edition also saw the crowning of the first ever moslem women to win Miss International, and was the first to win one of the four major international pageants for Indonesia.

Miss Universe 2018 67th edition of the Miss Universe competition

Miss Universe 2018, the 67th Miss Universe pageant, was held on 17 December 2018 at IMPACT Arena, Muang Thong Thani in Nonthaburi Province, north of Bangkok, Thailand. Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa crowned her successor Catriona Gray of the Philippines at the end of the event. This is the fourth time a Filipina has won the title.

Miss World 2018 Beauty pageant edition

Miss World 2018, the 68th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 8 December 2018 at the Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China. Manushi Chhillar of India crowned her successor Vanessa Ponce of Mexico at the end of the event. She is the first Mexican woman to win Miss World.
