Kaylea Arnett is an American Chickasaw diver. She has competed in synchronized diving, individual platform and springboard diving, and high diving. Arnett has also performed with Cirque du Soleil.
Arnett is Chickasaw and grew up in Oklahoma. [2] She attended Spring ISD Virtual School [3] and later Virginia Tech on an athletic scholarship. [2] While at Virginia Tech, she studied abroad in Japan. [4] She graduated with a philosophy major and a minor in Japanese. [2]
Arnett began diving in 2001, [2] training at the Diving Regional Training Center at Oklahoma City Community College. At age 10 she qualified for the Junior Pan-American Games in Belem, Brazil, and won bronze medals in the 1-meter and platform competition. She won two gold medals and a bronze in the 2007 Junior Pan-American Championships as well as two bronze medals at the 2005 Junior Pan-American Championships. [5]
In 2008, Arnett came second in the 14-15 girls 1-meter springboard at the Speedo Junior National Diving Championships. [6] She and Michelle Cabassol won the synchronized platform at the Speedo USA Diving Spring National Championships in 2009. [7] They came third in the women's synchronized 10-metre on the FINA Grand Prix diving circuit that same year. [8] Arnett and Cabassol won gold in the Synchronized Women Platform event at the USA Diving National Championships in 2013. [5]
In 2014, she set the record Taishoff pool record on the 1-meter board with a score of 335.85. This record was broken in 2023. [9]
She performed at The House of Dancing Water in Macau, China for about five years and then, in 2023, she joined the cast of O at the Bellagio. [2]
Arnett placed fourth in the women's 20-meter at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships. [10] Arnett placed second at the Boston stop on the 2024 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series [11] and at the event in Polignano a Mare, Italy. [12]
After the first three rounds of diving at the first World Aquatics High Diving World Cup event of 2024 in Bahrain, Arnett was in second place overall. As divers competed in the reverse order of their third round standings for the final round, Arnett needed 95.80 to take the lead from Canadian Molly Carlson. Her inward triple with ½ twist pike had a 4.0 degree of difficulty and earned her 78.00 points for third place behind Calrson and Simone Leathead. [13] [14]
Alexandre Despatie OLY is a Canadian diver and broadcaster from Laval, Quebec. He was the world champion at the 1 and 3 m springboards from 2005 to 2007 and is the first, and so far only, diver to have been world champion in all three individual categories. He is also a 37-time Canadian senior diving champion and nine-time junior champion, and the most decorated male diver in Canadian history, winning two Olympic silver medals and reaching eight podiums at the world championships, including three gold medals. He was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Tania Cagnotto is an Italian diver. She is the first female Italian diver to win a medal in a World Championship. A five-time Olympian, she won medals in both individual and synchronized springboard diving in her final appearance at the Olympics in 2016. She is also a 20-time champion at the European level.
Troy Matthew Dumais is an American competitive diver from California. Dumais has competed for the United States at four Olympic Games, winning a team bronze medal in the synchronized 3m in 2012. He attended the University of Texas at Austin.
Paola Milagros Espinosa Sánchez is a Mexican diver and represented Mexico at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she was her national team's flagbearer, and the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
Riley McCormick is a Canadian diver. He placed 16th in the individual 10m platform event at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He also placed 11th in the individual 10m platform event at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. He currently studies at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. He was born in Victoria, British Columbia.
Anastasia Yuryevna Pozdnyakova is a Russian diver. Pozdniakova competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics and won a silver medal with her partner Yuliya Pakhalina in the 3m Synchronized Springboard.
Guo Jingjing is a retired Chinese diver, and multi-time Olympic gold medalist and world champion. Guo is tied with her partner Wu Minxia for winning the most Olympic medals (6) of any female diver and she won the 3m springboard event at five consecutive World Championships. She announced her retirement in 2011.
He Zi is an Olympic medal winning Chinese female diver, specialising in the 1 meter springboard, 3 meter springboard and 3 meter synchronised dive.
Michael Hixon is an American diver. He is a two-time Olympic medalist, having won the silver medal with Sam Dorman in the men's synchronized 3-meter springboard event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and the silver medal with Andrew Capobianco at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo in the same event.
Shi Tingmao is a Chinese diver representing Chongqing diving team. She has been dominant in the 3 metre springboard events in the 2010s. She has won four gold medals in Olympic competitions, two at the 2016 Olympics and two more at the 2020 Olympics. She also holds eight golds in the World Championships.
Cao Yuan is a Chinese diver and an Olympic gold medalist, having won four golds, one silver and one bronze in the Olympics. He has also won golds in diving at the World Championships and World Cups. Cao is considered the best male diver of all time.
Ilya Leonidovich Zakharov is a Russian diver and politician. He is the 2012 Olympics gold medalist in 3 metre Springboard.
Wang Han is a Chinese retired diver who specialises in the 1 meter and 3 meter springboard events. Wang won a silver medal in the 1 meter springboard event at the 2011 World Aquatics Championships.
Nur Dhabitah binti Sabri is a Malaysian diver. She is the youngest Malaysian diver to champion two senior international competitions.
Steele Alexander Johnson is an Olympic silver medal-winning American diver. He has won multiple national titles at both the junior and college levels. Johnson made his Olympic debut at the 2016 Rio Games, where he won a silver medal with David Boudia in the men's 10 m synchronized platform diving competition. Johnson is a six-time senior national champion with USA Diving. He won the 10-meter platform at the 2013 USA Diving Winter Nationals, was a 15-time junior national champion, and was a four-time champion at the Junior Pan American Games.
Sarah Bacon is an American diver. She earned her first Olympic medal in the 2024 Summer Olympics, winning silver in the women's synchronized 3 metre springboard with Kassidy Cook.
Delaney Schnell is an American diver. In the 10 meter platform, she won a bronze medal at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships. In the 10 meter synchronized platform, she won silver medals at the 2020 Summer Olympics and 2022 World Aquatics Championships as well as a bronze medal at the 2019 Pan American Games. In the 10 meter mixed synchronized platform, she won a bronze medal at the 2022 World Aquatics Championships. She competes collegiately for the University of Arizona.
Aidan Heslop is a British diver and high diver who competes internationally representing Wales and Great Britain. In 2024 he won gold in the men's high dive at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships.
Molly Carlson is a Canadian high diver and social media personality. She is a member of Canada's senior national high diving team and placed second at the 2022 and 2023 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series. Carlson uploads videos of herself diving on TikTok and YouTube.
