Kedar Nath Upadhyay was a Nepalese judge who served as 14th Chief Justice of Nepal,in office from 6 December 2002 to 21 January 2004. [1] [2] [3] [4] He was appointed by the then-Prime Minister of Nepal,Girija Prasad Koirala.
Upadhyay was preceded by Keshav Prasad Upadhyaya and succeeded by Govinda Bahadur Shrestha. [5]

Konakuppakatil Gopinathan Balakrishnan is an Indian judge who served as Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission of India. He is a former Chief Justice of India. He was the first judge from Kerala to become the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. His tenure lasting more than three years has been one of the longest in the Supreme Court of India. While being Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court,he was appointed as the Acting Governor of Gujarat from 16th January 1999 to 18th March 1999.In 2010,he was conferred with an honorary doctorate by Cochin University of Science and Technology.
Nepal does not recognize same-sex marriages,civil unions,domestic partnerships,or any other form of recognition for same-sex couples. In 2011 and 2012,as the country was undergoing a political transition,there was an attempt to add LGBT-inclusive language to the proposed constitution. However,negotiations among political factions failed in spring 2012 and the drafting of a new constitution was placed on hold until new elections were held. A constitution was approved by the Constituent Assembly on 16 September 2015,and while it includes several provisions pertaining to the rights of LGBT people,it does not address same-sex marriages.

Bihar Human Rights Commission was established on 3 January 2000 by Notification No. 207. The Commission became functional by notification No. 6896 on 25 January 2008 with appointment of the first chairperson,Justice S. N. Jha former Chief Justice of the Jammu &Kashmir and Rajasthan High Court along with Justice Rajendra Prasad,a former Judge of the Patna High Court and R. R. Prasad,a former Director General of Police,Bihar as supporting members of the commission.
Kedar Nath Sahoo was an Indian classical dancer,known as one of the leading exponents of the Seraikella tradition of Chhau dance. He served as the founder director of the Government Chhau Dance Centre of the Government of Jharkhand where he served from 1974 to 1988. During the early stages of his career,he performed with the troupe led by Kumar Bijay Pratap Singh Deo,but later led his own group of dancers for performance in many places in India and abroad including Eastern Europe,South America and Southeast Asia. His students included many notable dancers like Sharon Lowen,Gopal Prasad Dubey and Shashadhar Acharya. He was a recipient of the 1981 Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and the Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri,in 2005,for his contributions to arts. Towards the latter part of his life,his health failed and he died on 8 October 2008 at his home in Kansari tola,aged 88,survived by his wife,five sons and four daughters.
