Kehkashan Awan is a Pakistani actress and HR Transformation Consultant. [1] She is known for her roles in classic dramas Jungle and Dhoop Kinare . [2]
She was born in Karachi, Pakistan. [3] Her father worked for the Pakistan Air Force and the family had to relocate almost every two years depending upon his job assignment and lived in six different locations. [3] She attended Karachi Elementary School and there became friends with Marina Khan when they were both in third grade. [4] [5]
She completed her studies from PECHS College, Karachi and she did BA in Psychology later she studied English Literature then she went to United Kingdom and studied at CPCAB and got a diploma. After getting her diploma she attended Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business and got a diploma in Marketing Management [3]
In 1980 Kehkashan did a modeling show at College and she along with Marina raised funds for Ethiopia because of famine. She was able to raised eight thousand dollars which she donated to Ethiopia. [6] She started working as model and then she was contacted by a PTV director for a drama which she accepted. [3] Then she worked in many commercials and advertisements. [6]
In 1983 she along with Sahira Kazmi worked in a long play Drama it was aired on PTV. In 1986 director Haroon Rind was looking for a new actress for the drama Jungle which was written by Noorul Huda Shah then he saw Kehkashan in a commercial so he contacted her and cast her in Jungle along with Usman Peerzada, Sakina Samo, Ismael Shah and Shafi Muhammad Shah. She did the role of Shehar Bano a girl who is mistreated by her husband. [4]
The following year in 1987 she appeared in drama Dhoop Kinare along with Rahat Kazmi, Marina Khan and Sajid Hasan which was written by Haseena Moin and directed by Sahira Kazmi she did the role of Anji who is Zoya's best friend since childhood and lives in a house next to Zoya later she gets engaged to Dr. Irfan who is a junior colleague of Dr Ahmer. [7] She rose to fame because of her role as Anji and Dhoop Kinare became a tremendous hit amongst the audiences. [8] [9]
In 2008 she hosted Marina Mornings with Marina Khan and later she interviewed several actors. [6] In 2022 she started working at COLABS Pakistan, Lahore in which she narrated her own story and several other stories. [10]
She works as a tranier at Pakistan Society for Training and Development later she also developed a coaching program called The Colour of My Shadow is Pink. [1] [11]
In 2016 she worked at Mitchell's Fruit Farms Limited for two years and later in 2020 she joined Milestone Lead at Lahore and worked as a HR Transformation Consultant. In 2022 she was invited at Star and Style Season 3 along with Marina Khan, Sahira Kazmi and Arshad Mehmood and she was awarded PTV Award along with the cast for her role as Anji in drama Dhoop Kinare . Kehkashan is married. [12] She was diagnosed with COVID-19 during the COVID-19 pandemic in Pakistan and went into quarantine then she recovered. [10]

Haseena Moin was a Pakistani dramatist, playwright and scriptwriter. She wrote several plays for stage, radio, and television. She was the recipient of the Pride of Performance award for her services to the performing arts in Pakistan. She wrote Pakistan Television's first original script Kiran Kahani aired in the early-1970s. Before this, PTV relied on novel-based scripts for dramas. She was considered to be the best playwright and dramatist in Urdu Pakistan has ever witnessed.
Rahat Kazmi is a Pakistani actor, screenwriter, TV news presenter anchorman, and an academician. He has worked in several TV serials for PTV such as 1967's Mayaar, 1974's Qurbatain aur Faaslay and 1976's Pakistan's first coloured and classical serial Parchaiyan. Later, he worked in PTV's many other TV dramas such as 1980's Teesra Kinara, 1980's Ehsaas, and 1987's Dhoop Kinare.
