Career

Browne began her professional netball career as a replacement player for the Melbourne Vixens in the 2015 ANZ Championship season. [1] She played for the Victorian-based club for two seasons before having a breakout year in 2017 at the Sunshine Coast Lightning in the new Super Netball league, where she developed a reputation as one of the most ruthless wing-attack players in the competition. [3] Browne has represented Australia at under 17, 19 and 21 levels. [1] Browne took her game to another level in the 2018 season and was rewarded with a call-up to the Australia national netball team for the Quad Series and 2018 Constellation Cup. [4] Shortly afterwards she was signed by the Collingwood Magpies, joining sister Madi Robinson at the club for the 2019 season. [5] She returned to the Diamonds for the 2019 Quad Series before winning selection as one of the 12 players picked for the World Cup squad, where she and her teammates won a silver medal.[ citation needed ]

In Round 13 of the 2019 season, Browne suffered a serious injury to her knee, ruling her out for up to 12 months. Nonetheless, she was re-signed by the club until the end of the 2021 season. [6]

Personal life

In addition to her sister Madi, Browne's father Mark was also a sportsperson, playing Australian rules football for Geelong in the 1970s. [8]

As of 2022, Browne currently studies a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science at Deakin University. [9]

She is a singer/songwriter and studied a Bachelor of Arts (Music Performance) at Collarts in Melbourne.

During her time at Collingwood, Browne served as Collingwood's delegate to the Australian Netball Players’ Association. [10]

Kimberley Ravaillion, is an Australia netball international. Ravaillion was a member of the Australia teams that won the gold medals at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2015 Netball World Cup and the silver medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. In January 2013, aged 19, she made her senior debut for Australia during an away series against England. This saw Ravaillion make her senior test debut before making her top-level league debut. Her first game for Queensland Firebirds came two months later. She was subsequently a member of the Firebirds teams that won the 2015 and 2016 ANZ Championships. The 2020 Suncorp Super Netball season was the fourth season of the premier netball league in Australia. The season was originally scheduled to commence on 2 May, though was delayed to 1 August due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The defending premiers, New South Wales Swifts were eliminated in the first week of the finals series by the eventual runners-up West Coast Fever. The premiers were the Melbourne Vixens, who defeated the Fever by two goals in the Grand Final at Nissan Arena in Brisbane.

The 2023 Suncorp Super Netball season was the seventh season of the premier netball league in Australia. The season commenced on Saturday 18 March and concluded with the Grand Final on Saturday 8 July at John Cain Arena. The defending premiers were the West Coast Fever, who were eliminated in the Preliminary Final by the New South Wales Swifts. The Adelaide Thunderbirds won their first premiership in 10 years, narrowly defeating the New South Wales Swifts 60-59 after an extra time Grand Final thriller. This season was the last season to feature the Collingwood Magpies, who withdrew from the competition at the end of the season due to financial difficulties.
