Alexander Kennedy "Ken" Kirkpatrick (born 25 July 1938 in Belfast,Northern Ireland) [1] is an Irish former cricketer. A left-handed batsman and off spin bowler, [1] he played twice for the Ireland cricket team in 1962; [2] a first-class match against the Combined Services [3] and against Pakistan. [2]
The Ireland men's cricket team represents all of Ireland in international cricket. The Irish Cricket Union,operating under the brand Cricket Ireland,is the sport's governing body in Ireland,and they organise the international team. The team have a number of home grounds,including Malahide in County Dublin,Stormont,Belfast,Bready in the north-west and Clontarf in Dublin city. A further ground is planned for the National Sports Campus in Abbotstown,Dublin for 2030. Due to the short season allowed by the Irish climate,and lack of large scale facilities,Ireland also occasionally play 'home matches' in venues in England and further abroad.

David Trent Johnston is an Irish-Australian cricket coach and former player. He was born in Wollongong,New South Wales,and played his early cricket for New South Wales in Australian domestic competitions. A right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler,he later moved to Ireland,and made his debut for the Ireland cricket team in 2004. Johnston was subsequently named captain of Ireland,and was a regular fixture in the national team until his retirement in 2013. He coached the Hong Kong national cricket team from 2019 to 2022.

Robert James Hamilton Lambert was an Irish cricketer. A right-handed batsman and a right-arm off spin bowler,he played 51 times for the Ireland cricket team between 1893 and 1930,including 23 first-class matches,captaining them on 13 occasions. He also played first-class cricket for London County and Woodbrook Club and Ground. On his death,the Wisden Cricketer's Almanack described him as the best all-rounder produced by Ireland.

Richard Averill Lloyd was an Irish cricketer and rugby union player. At cricket,he was a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler who played two first-class matches for the Ireland cricket team,also playing for Lancashire. In rugby union,he was a fly-half who played 19 times for the Ireland national rugby union team,scoring 72 points,and was regarded as one of the best goal-kickers of his time. He is regarded by his school,Portora Royal School,as one of their most famous pupils,alongside Samuel Beckett and Oscar Wilde.
College Park is a cricket ground in the grounds of Trinity College Dublin in Ireland and is the home ground of Dublin University Cricket Club. A cricket match at Trinity College was mentioned in a poem 1820s between a team from Ballinasloe playing "the Collegians",although whether this match was played on the present ground is not known. The first recorded mention of cricket on the present ground dates from 1868,when Ireland played an All-England Eleven in a non first-class fixture.
