Subhas Chandra Bose was an Indian nationalist whose defiance of British authority in India made him a hero among many Indians, but his wartime alliances with Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan left a legacy vexed by authoritarianism, anti-Semitism, and military failure. The honorific 'Netaji' was first applied to Bose in Germany in early 1942—by the Indian soldiers of the Indische Legion and by the German and Indian officials in the Special Bureau for India in Berlin. It is now used throughout India.
Indian nationalist leader Subhas Chandra Bose died on 18 August 1945 from third-degree burns sustained after the bomber in which he was being transported as a guest of Lieutenant General Tsunamasa Shidei of the Imperial Japanese Kwantung Army crashed upon take off from the airport in Taihoku, Japanese Formosa, now Taipei, Taiwan. The chief pilot, copilot, and General Shidei were instantly killed.

Ross Island, officially known as Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island, is an island of the Andaman Islands. It belongs to the South Andaman administrative district, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The island is situated 3 km (2 mi) east from central Port Blair. The historic ruins are a tourist attraction.

Local Kung Fu is an indie Assamese kung fu martial arts-comedy film directed by Kenny Basumatary and the second Assamese film to have a nationwide release. It has also been dubbed as India’s first kung fu film. The film is the first installment in the Local Kung Fu film series and was produced by Durlov Baruah. A spiritual sequel, Local Kung Fu 2, was released on 19 April 2017. A third and direct sequel, Local Kung Fu 3, was released on 5 September 2024. The plot revolves around Charlie, "an ordinary boy from Guwahati with a delicate stomach"; his girlfriend; and a number of madcap characters.

The 2019 Boro language film, Jwlwi: The Seed was written, directed and produced by her. Her third directorial film Gorai Phakhri premiered at the Vancouver International Film Festival in 2023. It won Best Film at the 29th Kolkata International Film Festival under the Indian Language Films category. She was awarded Best Director at the 6th Sailadhar Baruah Awards. The film won the Gautama Buddha Award for Best Narrative Feature Film at the Nepal International Film Festival. She was awarded the Director's Vision Award at the 21st Indian Film Festival Stuttgart.
Kammara Sambhavam is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language epic historical satirical action film written by Murali Gopy and directed by Rathish Ambat. The film was produced by Gokulam Gopalan and stars Dileep as the titular antagonist, along with Siddharth, Namitha Pramod, Bobby Simha, Murali Gopi, Shwetha Menon, Manikuttan, Vijayaraghavan, and Siddique in Supporting roles. It marks the Malayalam film debut of Siddharth. Principal photography began on 18 August 2016 in Kochi. The film was released in India on 14 April 2018. The film won the National Film Award for Best Production Design.
Local Kung Fu 2 is an Indian Assamese language Kung fu Martial arts-comedy film. It is directed by Kenny Basumatary and produced by Durlov Baruah. It is the spiritual sequel to 2013 film Local Kung Fu. The film is based on William Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors. The film-makers successfully raised money for post-production through crowdfunding and the film was released on April 19, 2017.
Netaji is a Bengali biographical soap opera on the life of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose that premiered on 14 January 2019 and aired on Bengali GEC Zee Bangla. Based majorly on Udyata Kharga Subhash by Achintya Kumar Sengupta and produced by Surinder Films, the series stars Abhishek Bose in the eponymous role, with Basabdatta Chatterjee, marking her comeback on television, Dhruvajyoti Sarkar, Kaushik Chakraborty, Sriparna Roy, Debopriyo Sarkar, Sohan Bandopadhyay, Fahim Mirza appearing in other recurring roles. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the shooting of the series was stalled. It was rumoured that along with Karunamoyee Rani Rashmoni, this series will be axed the channel. Putting rest to such rumours, the shooting started from June 11 and new episodes started to air from June 15, 2020.The show went off air on 1 st August 2020.

Statue of Subhas Chandra Bose, also known as the Netaji's Statue, is a monolithic statue made of black granite, dedicated to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Indian freedom fighter and Commander-in-Chief of Indian National Army. The statue 28 feet (8.5 m) in total height, including a 8 feet (2.4 m) in total width. It is placed under the canopy behind India Gate in Delhi. The statue was sculpted by Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj, whose other prominent works include the Statue of Adi Shankaracharya in Kedarnath. Prominent attendees at the dedication ceremony in 2022 included Prime Minister Narendra Modi, members of his cabinet, MP Hardeep Singh Puri, G. Kishan Reddy and Arjun Ram Meghwal.
