The Kent Coast Championships or Kent Coast Open Tennis Championships [1] or Kent Coast Open Lawn Tennis Championship [2] was a men's and women's grass court tennis tournament first established in 1903. It was first held at the Hotel Imperial tennis courts, Hythe, Kent, England. The tournament was staged annually as part of the ILTF Circuit until 1956.

History

In 1903, the Kent Coast Championships were established at the Imperial Hotel, [3] Hythe, Kent, England. The winners of the first edition in the men's singles was Henry Norman Marrett, [4] and in the women's singles Mildred Coles. The championships ran annually with the exception of two temporary stoppages due to both the first and second world wars. The final winner of the men's singles was Gerry Oakley, [5] and the women's singles title was shared between Shirley Bloomer and Barbara Knapp.

The Tally-Ho! Open Tennis Championships also known as the Tally-Ho! Hard Courts, was a combined men's and women's clay court tennis tournament originally founded in 1923. The tournament was held at the Tally Ho Lawn Tennis Club, Edgbaston, Birmingham, England until 1982.

In 1894 a new Maidstone Open lawn tennis tournament was revived that featured the Mid-Kent Championships, this event ran until 1927.

It was first staged at the Le Montreux Palace Lawn Tennis Club, Le Montreux Palace Hotel, Montreux, Switzerland. The championships ran until 1948.

The Dinard International also known as the Dinard Championships or Championnats de Dinard and also known as the Dinard Cup or Coupe de Dinard was a combined men's and women's open clay court tennis tournament established in 1889 and was first played at the Tennis Club de Dinard, Dinard, France. The tournament became part of ILTC Circuit and was staged until 1968.

The Tunbridge Wells Open was a combined men's and women's tennis tournament founded in 1908 as the Tunbridge Wells Open Lawn Tennis Tournament. It was played at the Tunbridge Wells Lawn Tennis Club, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England. The tournament ran until 1981 when it was discontinued as part of the ILTF Circuit.

The Le Touquet International Championship or Championnat International du Touquet was a men's and women's clay court tennis founded in 1903. The tournament was played at the Le Touquet Tennis Club, Le Touquet, France. It was usually held at the beginning of September and was played annually until 1983 when it was discontinued

The Les Diablerets International Championship or Championnat International des Diablerets was men's and women's clay court tennis tournament founded in July 1885, as the Les Diablerets International Lawn Tennis Tournament. It was first played at the Le Grand Hôtel et les Diablerets then moved later to the Tennis Club Les Diablerets, Les Diablerets, Ormont-Dessus, Vaud, Switzerland. The tournament was staged annually as part of the ILTF Circuit until 1971.
