With San Francisco, Taylor played in the NFC Championship Game in 1971 and 1972. He was also named to the Pro Bowl in 1972. During his football career, Taylor received several rookie of the year awards including ones from Pro Football Weekly and the Associated Press.

He played college football for the Texas A&M Aggies, earning consensus All-American honors in 1987. Roper was selected in the second round of the 1989 NFL Draft. He was on the Cowboys' Super Bowl XXVIII championship team that beat the Buffalo Bills.

Robert Vincent Jury is a former American football defensive back who played one season with the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round of the 1978 NFL Draft. Jury played college football at the University of Pittsburgh and attended South Park High School in South Park, Pennsylvania. He was a consensus All-American in 1977. He is the Pittsburgh Panthers all-time leaders in interceptions (21), interceptions in a season (10) and interception return yards (266).
Ernie Jennings is a former American football wide receiver who played college football at the United States Air Force Academy and attended Kansas City Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the tenth round of the 1971 NFL Draft. Jennings had originally joined the Air Force Falcons as a defensive back. He was a consensus All-American in 1970 and finished eighth in Heisman Trophy voting after catching 74 passes for 1,289 yards. He also led NCAA Division I football in receiving touchdowns in 1970 with 17. He is Air Force's all-time leader in receptions with 148, 2nd in receiving yards with 2,392 and leads the team in receiving touchdowns with 28. Jennings was on the 2014 ballot for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame but was not chosen. Jennings spent time in the military after college and was released by the San Francisco 49ers in August 1975. He then began a career at NASA in 1976.
Dan Irons is a former American football offensive tackle who played for the Texas Tech Red Raiders football team and was recognized as a consensus All-American in 1977.
