The Kerrang!Awards 2012 were held in London, England, on 7 June 2012 at The Brewery in East London and were hosted by Slipknot singer Corey Taylor and Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian.[ citation needed ]

On 2 May 2012, Kerrang! announced the 2012 nominees. [1] The main categories were dominated by You Me at Six with five nominations, followed by Black Veil Brides and Falling in Reverse with three apiece.

The Kerrang! Awards 2012 incorporated new categories, including awards for films, video games, comedians, the hero and villain of the year. [2]

The Drug in Me Is You is the debut studio album by American rock band Falling in Reverse. Production for the album took place following lead singer Ronnie Radke's departure from Escape the Fate in 2008. Recording took place in December 2010 and lasted until February 2011 at Paint it Black Studios in Orlando, Florida. Michael Baskette, who worked with Radke on Escape the Fate's Dying Is Your Latest Fashion, returned as the executive producer for the album, alongside former bandmate Omar Espinosa and others as additional composers and production aids in the studio. The Drug in Me Is You was released on July 25, 2011, in Europe and Japan, and on July 26, 2011, in the United States.

Falling in Reverse is an American rock band that formed in 2008 by lead vocalist Ronnie Radke while he was incarcerated. The band's original name was "From Behind These Walls", but it was quickly renamed to Falling in Reverse shortly after formation. They are currently signed to Epitaph Records. The band has undergone numerous lineup changes, with Radke being the only remaining original member.

The Blackout are a Welsh post-hardcore band from Merthyr Tydfil, formed in 2003. In 2007, the band released their debut album, We Are the Dynamite. Their second record, The Best in Town, was released in 2009. The band's third album, Hope, was released in 2011 and charted at number 27 in the UK album chart. Their fourth studio album, Start the Party, was released in 2013. The Blackout's final release was a five-track EP entitled Wolves, with their farewell tour held in early 2015, finishing in their hometown of Merthyr Tydfil in March 2015.

Fashionably Late is the second studio album by American rock band Falling in Reverse. Production for the album took place following the release of their debut album, The Drug in Me Is You in 2011. It is the only album to feature bassist Ron Ficarro, who would later be replaced by Max Green. The album was streamed through Epitaph Records' YouTube channel on June 12. Fashionably Late was released on June 18, 2013. The album was largely panned by music critics upon release.

This is the band's third single without an album being announced, and is the culmination of the saga of the songs "Losing My Mind" and "Losing My Life". The song was produced by DangerKids vocalist Tyler Smyth and vocalist Ronnie Radke. The song also features Black Veil Brides drummer Christian "CC" Coma.
