Keuruu sub-region is a subdivision of Central Finland and one of the Sub-regions of Finland since 2009.

Lappeenranta is a city in Finland and the regional capital of South Karelia. It is located in the southeastern interior of the country and in the Finnish Lakeland. The population of Lappeenranta is approximately 73,000, while the sub-region has a population of approximately 89,000. It is the 13th most populous municipality in Finland, and the 11th most populous urban area in the country.
Southwest Finland is since 2019 the official name in English for the region in the southwest of Finland hitherto known as Finland Proper. In Finnish and Swedish, the region still retains the previous name. It borders the regions of Satakunta, Pirkanmaa, Tavastia Proper (Kanta-Häme), Uusimaa, and Åland. The region's capital and most populous city is Turku, which was the capital city of Finland before Helsinki.
Sub-regions are divisions used for statistical purposes in Finland. The country is divided into 69 sub-regions, which are formed by groups of municipalities within the 19 regions of Finland. These sub-regions represent a LAU 1 level of division used in conjunction with the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics.

South Ostrobothnia is one of the 19 regions of Finland. It borders the regions of Ostrobothnia, Central Ostrobothnia, Central Finland, Pirkanmaa, and Satakunta. Among the Finnish regions, South Ostrobothnia is the ninth largest in terms of population. Seinäjoki is the regional centre and by far the largest city in the area.
Jämsä is a town and municipality of Finland. It is located in the Central Finland region, about 58 kilometres (36 mi) southwest of Jyväskylä. The municipality has a population of 19,106, which makes it the second largest town of the Central Finland after Jyväskylä. It covers an area of 1,823.90 square kilometres (704.21 sq mi) of which 252.57 km2 (97.52 sq mi) is water. The population density is 12.16 inhabitants per square kilometre (31.5/sq mi).
Kaskinen is a town and island in Finland, located on the west coast of the country. Kaskinen is situated in Ostrobothnia, along the Gulf of Bothnia. The population of Kaskinen approximately 1,000, while the sub-region has a population of approximately 17,000. It is the 285th most populous municipality in Finland.
Keuruu is a town and municipality of Finland. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Central Finland region. The municipality has a population of 9,131 and covers an area of 1,430.57 square kilometres (552.35 sq mi) of which 172.4 km2 (66.6 sq mi) is water. The population density is 7.26 inhabitants per square kilometre (18.8/sq mi). The town center and Haapamäki village are both the most populated places in Keuruu.
Keurusselkä is a lake in Central Finland between the towns of Keuruu to the north and Mänttä to the south. It covers an area of 117.3 km2 (45.3 sq mi). Its average depth is 6.4 m (21 ft) with a maximum depth of 40 m (130 ft). The surface lies at 105.4 m (346 ft) above sea level. The lake is 27 km (17 mi) long and is a part of the Kokemäenjoki water system. Keurusselkä gained international publicity in 2004 when a pair of amateur geologists discovered an ancient impact structure on the western shore of the lake.

Haapamäki is a village in the municipality of Keuruu, Finland. It has historically been an important meeting point of major railway lines, which converge at Haapamäki railway station. It is 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) from Haapamäki to the center of Keuruu and 74 kilometres (46 mi) to the city of Jyväskylä. According to Statistics Finland, Haapamäki has 857 inhabitants, while according to the town of Keuruu, the population of the Haapamäki village area is about 1,500.

The Finnish national road 23 is a highway between Western and Eastern Finland that runs between the cities of Pori and Joensuu via Jyväskylä. The length of the road is 517 kilometres (321 mi). The road is also called the Finnish Lake Road, as it runs through the Finnish Lakeland area in the central hinterland of the country.
Pihlajavesi is a town and a former municipality of Finland, which in 1969 was merged into the municipality of Keuruu, located in the Central Finland region.
Kolonjärvi is a lake located in Keuruu in central Finland, which belongs to the Kokemäenjoki watershed. It has an area of 239 hectares, and a coastline of some 12 kilometres (7.5 mi).
