Kevin Cunningham is an American boxing trainer [1] who started the police boxing program in 1991, originally a police officer.

Kevin Started his career in police [6] in St. Louis Eighth District, ending his police career as narcotics detective. [7]

Boxing trainer

Cory Spinks

Kevin's run with Cory Spinks started in 1995, winning championships in two weight classes (Welterweight and Super Welterweight), including the Undisputed Welterweight title vs Ricardo Mayorga in December 2003. [8]

David Diaz

Kevin trained David Diaz going into his win vs established world champion Erik Morales. [9]

Devon Alexander

Kevin started training Devon Alexander [10] as a child, winning boxing championships in two divisions. [11]

Stephen Shaw

Kevin helped train Shaw to win his second amateur championship in 2013. [12] and started with him as an undefeated Heavyweight prospect in 2013. [13]

Márquez was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in the class of 2020.

Roberto Garcia Cortez is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1992 to 2001, and held the IBF junior lightweight title from 1998 to 1999. He has since worked as a boxing trainer, and was voted Trainer of the Year by The Ring magazine in 2011, and by the Boxing Writers Association of America in 2012. He is the older brother of professional boxer Mikey Garcia, who is a world champion in four weight classes.

Victor Ortiz is an American professional boxer and film actor. He held the WBC welterweight title in 2011, and was formerly rated as one of the world's top three active welterweights by most sporting news and boxing websites, including The Ring magazine, BoxRec, and ESPN. His crowd-pleasing and aggressive fighting style also made him the 2008 ESPN Prospect of the Year.

Devon Alexander American boxer

Devon Alexander is an American professional boxer. He is a former world champion in two weight classes, having held the unified WBC and IBF light welterweight titles in 2010, and the IBF welterweight title from 2012 to 2013. Alexander was prescribed Tramadol after surgery in 2012, and thereafter had to battle opiate addiction, coming clean in 2018.

Shawn Christian Porter is an American former professional boxer who competed from 2008 to 2021. He is a two-time former welterweight world champion, having held the IBF title from 2013 to 2014 and the WBC title from 2018 to 2019. As of August 2021, he is ranked as the world's third best active welterweight by BoxRec and fourth by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board and The Ring magazine. He is particularly known for his aggressive pressure fighting style, physical strength and high workrate.

After a draw in 2017, Canelo Alvarez ended Gennady Golovkin's long reign in 2018. The heavyweight division was dominated by Klitschko brothers before Wladimir's loss to Tyson Fury in 2015. Mike Tyson vs. Michael Spinks Boxing competition

Mike Tyson vs. Michael Spinks, billed as Once and For All, was a professional boxing match which took place on June 27, 1988. Both fighters were undefeated and each had a claim to being the legitimate heavyweight champion. At the time, Tyson held the belts of all three of the major sanctioning organizations while Spinks was The Ring and Boxing Illustrated magazine champion, regarded as "The People's Champion," and was considered the lineal champion. The fight was held at the Convention Hall, Atlantic City, New Jersey U.S., it was at the time the richest fight in boxing history, grossing some $70 million, of which Tyson earned a record purse of around $22 million and Spinks $13.5 million. Tyson won the fight, knocking out Spinks in 91 seconds.

Jaron Ennis is an American professional boxer. As an amateur, he won a silver and gold medal at the U.S. National Golden Gloves Championships in 2014 and 2015 respectively. He is currently ranked #4 at welterweight by The Ring, #5 by TBRB, and #7 by BoxRec.
