Kevin Reynolds was the Western Australian state secretary for the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU). [1] Prior to this he was involved with the Builders Labourers Federation in the 1970s and 1980s where he formed an association with Norm Gallagher.
Reynolds held considerable influence in the centre-right faction of the Western Australian branch of the Australian Labor Party and is closely associated with former premier, Brian Burke.
Reynolds' partner is former Western Australian MLC, Shelley Archer.

In 1997 a "Workers Embassy" was set up on some vacant land opposite the Parliament House during union protests of the Court Governments "third wave" legislation for industrial relations. What began with a caravan and portable barbecue soon transformed into a landscaped shelter with a monument to the trade union workers who have died during their work. Special mention was made to Mark Allen, a young CFMEU organiser who was killed on a building site while attempting to get workers down from an unsafe roof.

SS Koombana was a passenger steamship that was built in Scotland in 1908 for the Adelaide Steamship Company, for coastal liner services between Fremantle and the northwest coast of Western Australia. She sank in a tropical cyclone somewhere off Port Hedland in 1912, with the loss of all 150 people aboard. Her loss was one of Australia's worst weather-related maritime disasters in the twentieth century.
Michael Greenfield is an Australian former rugby league footballer who played 2000s and 2010s. He played at club level for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, the South Sydney Rabbitohs, the St George Illawarra Dragons, and the Melbourne Storm, in the National Rugby League (NRL), as a prop or second-row. The Builders Labourers Federation (BLF) was an Australian trade union that existed from 1911 until 1972, and from 1976 until 1986, when it was permanently deregistered in various Australian states by the federal Hawke Labor government and some state governments of the time. This occurred in the wake of a Royal Commission into corruption by the union. About the same time, BLF federal secretary Norm Gallagher was jailed for corrupt dealings after receiving bribes from building companies that he used to build a beach house.
The Western Australian Labor Party, officially known as the Australian Labor Party (Western Australian Branch) and commonly referred to simply as WA Labor, is the Western Australian branch of the Australian Labor Party.
