Kevin Wilson is a game designer who has worked primarily on board games and role-playing games.
Wilson received a B.A. in Cognitive Science (Artificial Intelligence) from U.C. Berkeley in 1997, and was active in the interactive fiction community at the time. [1] He wrote several works of interactive fiction — including Once and Future and The Lesson of the Tortoise — and founded the annual Interactive Fiction Competition and the Internet magazine SPAG. Kevin Wilson has been a game designer since the late 1990s. [1] Wilson co-designed 7th Sea (1998), the second role-playing game from Alderac Entertainment Group, with Jennifer Wick and John Wick. [2] : 264 Wilson wrote the adventure Wonders Out of Time (2001), the sequel to Akrasia: Thief of Time (2001) in the "Eden Odyssey" series of adventures from Eden Studios. [2] : 342 Wilson is the co-designer of the Spycraft roleplaying game. [1] Fantasy Flight Games hired Wilson as their success with the d20 System grew, to manage their retooling on the Legends & Lairs line, and he decided to split the line into smaller sublines made up of smaller sourcebooks. Petersen and Wilson designed the wargame A Game of Thrones (2003), which was one of several games published by Fantasy Flight in the American style while the company had been republishing eurogames. [1] Petersen and Wilson created a gaming system for Doom: The Boardgame (2004), which was later revised and used in Descent: Journeys in the Dark (2006). Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri is a 4X video game, considered a spiritual sequel to the Civilization series. Set in a science fiction depiction of the 22nd century, the game begins as seven competing ideological factions land on the planet Chiron ("Planet") in the Alpha Centauri star system. As the game progresses, Planet's growing sentience becomes a formidable obstacle to the human colonists.
Sid Meier's Civilization is a 1991 turn-based strategy 4X video game developed and published by MicroProse. The game was originally developed for MS-DOS running on a PC, and it has undergone numerous revisions for various platforms. The player is tasked with leading an entire human civilization over the course of several millennia by controlling various areas such as urban development, exploration, government, trade, research, and military. The player can control individual units and advance the exploration, conquest and settlement of the game's world. The player can also make such decisions as setting forms of government, tax rates and research priorities. The player's civilization is in competition with other computer-controlled civilizations, with which the player can enter diplomatic relationships that can either end in alliances or lead to war.

Sidney K. Meier is an American businessman and computer programmer. A programmer, designer, and producer of several strategy video games and simulation video games, including the Civilization series, Meier co-founded MicroProse in 1982 with Bill Stealey and is the Director of Creative Development of Firaxis Games, which he co-founded with Jeff Briggs and Brian Reynolds in 1996. For his contributions to the video game industry, Meier was inducted into the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame.
MicroProse is an American video game publisher and developer founded by Bill Stealey, Sid Meier, and Andy Hollis in 1982. It developed and published numerous games, including starting the Civilization and X-COM series. Most of their internally developed titles were vehicle simulation and strategy games.
Brian Reynolds is an American videogame designer. Reynolds has designed at SecretNewCo, Zynga, Big Huge Games, and MicroProse and has been chairman of the International Game Developers Association. Sid Meier's Pirates! is a video game created by Sid Meier for the Commodore 64 and published by MicroProse in 1987. He worked at Chaosium, contributing to the development of RuneQuest and creating the acclaimed and influential horror role-playing game Call of Cthulhu. He later joined id Software where he worked on the development of the Doom franchise and Quake. As part of Ensemble Studios, Petersen subsequently contributed to the Age of Empires franchise.
