Keyshawn Strachan, (born 18 December 2003) is a Bahamian track and field athlete who competes in the javelin throw.
Strachan holds the Bahamian javelin throw national record set in Kingston, Jamaica at the 2022 CARIFTA Games with a throw of 79.89 m. [1] [2]
Strachan also holds the CARIFTA Games Record in the under 18 and under 20 category. He also competed at the 2021 World Athletics U20 Championships in Nairobi, Kenya. [3]
Jan Železný is a Czech former track and field athlete who competed in the javelin throw. He is a World and Olympic champion and holds the world record with a throw of 98.48 metres. Widely considered the greatest javelin thrower of the modern era, he also has the fourth, fifth and sixth best performances of all time. He broke the world record a total of four times.

The CARIFTA Games is an annual athletics competition founded by the Caribbean Free Trade Association (CARIFTA). The games was first held in 1972 and consists of track and field events including sprint races, hurdles, middle distance track events, jumping and throwing events, and relays. The Games has two age categories: under-17 and under-20. Only countries associated with CARIFTA may compete in the competition.
Juan Lewis is a male track and field athlete from West End, Grand Bahama in The Bahamas, who mainly competes in the 400m and 200 He attended Bishop Michael Eldon School and Sunland Baptist Academy before competing for Southwestern Christian College and the UT Arlington Mavericks. Lewis ran the third leg of the 4 x 400 Relay at the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Doha, Qatar.

Keshorn "Keshie" Walcott, ORTT is a Trinidadian track and field athlete who competes in the javelin throw. He is an Olympic champion, having won gold in 2012. He is the first Caribbean male athlete, as well as the first of African descent, to win the gold medal in a throwing event in the history of the Olympics. He is also the holder of the North, Central American and Caribbean junior record.
Shavez Hart was a Bahamian track and field sprinter from Coopers Town Abaco Islands, who mainly competed in the 100 metres and 200 metres. His 100 metres personal best of 10.10 seconds makes him the third fastest Bahamian of all time behind Derrick Atkins, and second fastest Bahamian-born sprinter. His 200 metres personal best of 20.23 makes him the fourth fastest Bahamian of all time.
Janieve Russell is a Jamaican track and field athlete who competes mainly in the 400 metres hurdles and the 400 metres sprint. She won an Olympic bronze medal in the 4 × 400 m relay in Tokyo 2021, where she also finished fourth in the 400m hurdles final in a personal best of 53.08 secs. She is a four-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist, winning the 400m hurdles title in 2018 and 2022, and the 4 × 400 m relay in 2014 and 2018. After a break out 2021 season he signed a professional contract with Puma, and will be training with MVP International, under former Auburn University coach Henry Rolle based in Boca Raton, Florida. He holds the Bahamian 400m Jr National Record with a time of 45.81. He also has a personal best of 20.61 (+1.1w) over 200m.
Carlyle Thompson is a Bahamian sprinter from Nassau, Bahamas who competed in the 400m Hurdles and 400m. He attended St. Annes High School in Nassau, Bahamas, before going on to compete for Allen County Community College and Nova Southeastern University. He won two silver medals at the 2006 CARIFTA Games first in the open 400m Hurdles then on the third leg of the 4 × 400 m Relay.
