Khalid Bashir (born 14 February 1968) is a Pakistani field hockey player. He was born in Faisalabad. He played 143 international matches for his country and scored 66 goals . He won a bronze medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. [1]

Jamil Bachir or Bashir was an Iraqi musician and expert oud player. The Iraqi Music Institute was opened in 1936, under administration of Hanna Petros (1896–1958), then in 1937 Sherif Muheddin Haydar and other professors joined the faculty of the Institute; Jamil Bashir was enrolled to learn oud with Sherif Muheddin Haydar and violin with Sando Albu. He finished his oud studies in 1943 and his violin study in 1946, and then worked at the Institute as an oud and violin teacher. He also wrote a two-volume oud method. Jamil Bashir was also a good singer, but he did not continue singing as he preferred the oud. He died in London on 24 September 1977.

Motazz Moussa is a Sudanese politician who served as Prime Minister of Sudan from September 2018 until his dismissal in February 2019. Prior to his appointment he served as Minister of Irrigation and Electricity.

Sudanese National Alliance (SNA) is a Sudanese political party. Formed in 1994 as a democratic, secular, non-regional party, the SNA was one of the four original members of the National Democratic Alliance, the coalition of Northern groups and the Sudan People's Liberation Movement in opposition to the al-Bashir government in Khartoum. From the beginning, former general Abdel Aziz Khalid was the visible leader of the SNA, although Amir Babakr was the SNA chairman. During the 1990s, the Sudan Alliance Forces, the armed wing of the SNA, conducted a number of low-level military attacks against Sudanese forces inside the country. The Sudan Alliance Forces merged with the Sudan People's Liberation Army in 2002. Subsequently, the SNA joined the political process in Khartoum. Khalid ran as the SNA candidate for president in the April 2010 election and received 0.34 percent of the vote.
