Major General Khan Firoz Ahmed OSP, ndc, afwc, psc is a two-star general of the Bangladesh Army. He is currently appointed as Senior Directing Staff at National Defence College. Earlier, he was the Military Secretary in Army Headquarters, Dhaka Cantonment. [1] He is also the incumbent President of Army Golf Club and Chairman Bangladesh Golf Academy.

Career

Ahmed was the defence advisor to the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the United Nations and during his tenure 12 Bangladeshi peacekeepers had been honored by UN secretary general. [2]

Ahmed also served as acting adjutant general in January 2023. [3] Before serving as military secretary, he was the general officer commanding (GOC) of the 7th Infantry Division and area commander, Barishal Area from 2 December 2021 to 27 August 2022. [4] He also served as the defense advisor of the Bangladesh permanent mission to UN 2017 to 2020. [5] He was promoted to the rank of major general on 2 December 2021. [6]

Personal life

Ahmed is married and a father of a daughter and a son.

He also served as GOC of 66th Infantry Division, Director of Military Training (DMT) of Army Headquarters Military Training Directorate of Bangladesh Army.

S M Matiur Rahman OSP (BAR), SUP, afwc, psc, is a retired three-star-rank Bangladesh Army officer, a lieutenant general. He was general officer commanding, Army Training and Doctrine Command, Mymensingh Cantonment. Prior to join ARTDOC, he was GOC of 24 Infantry Division and area commander of Chattogram area. Earlier, he was adjutant general of the Bangladesh Army. He was also vice chairman of Trust Bank's board of directors. He served as general officer commanding (GOC) of 55 Infantry Division & Area Commander of Jessore Area. He also served as the director of Counter-Terrorism Intelligence Bureau (CTIB) of Directorate General of Forces Intelligence. He served as commander of 46th Independent Infantry Brigade. He also served as additional director general (operations) of the Rapid Action Battalion.

Major General (Retd) Mohammad Humayun Kabir, OSP, SUP, rcds, psc, was a two-star general of the Bangladesh Army. As Major General he served as the Commander Logistics Area Dhaka Cantonment of Bangladesh Army. He served in various command and headquarters formations. He served as Adjutant General of Bangladesh Army, Commandant of the Bangladesh Military Academy, the Director of Military Operations-Army headquarters and also the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 55 Infantry division and 17 Infantry division.
