Kida Khodr Ramadan (born 8 October 1976) is a German actor and director. He has won several awards for his portrayal of Ali "Toni" Hamady in the series 4 Blocks . [1]
Kida Khodr Ramadan was born in 1976 in Beirut as the fifth child of a Mhallami family. His father, Mohamad Ramadan, was a successful businessman. As the Lebanese Civil War escalated and relatives of the family were killed, the family decided to leave Lebanon for Germany. [2] They moved to West-Berlin, where they initially lived in a home for asylum seekers in Kreuzberg.
Ramadan went to the Hector-Peterson-Gesamtschule school in Kreuzberg. [3] He said high school did not interest him and he left without qualification, and entered the local hip-hop and breakdance scene. He partook in street performances with Turkish and Arabic-speaking youths at Kurfürstendamm and elsewhere. [4]
The Turkish-German director Neco Çelik gave Ramadan his first break in 2003 after meeting him at a summer camp, giving him a role in Alltag (Everyday), a story about two youngsters who rob a bookies in Kreuzberg. [5]
His first project as solo director was "In Berlin wächst kein Orangenbaum" (In Berlin, No Orange Tree Grows), also as writer with Juri Sternburg, and producer, premiered at Filmfest München Pop-up 2020. [6]
In 1996 he married Meryem in Turkey. They have six children together. [7] He plays boules competitively. He lives in Berlin.

He is forced to postpone his plans to leave the business to live an ordinary life with his wife, played by Maryam Zaree, when his brother-in-law, played by Massiv, is arrested. He brings in Vince Kerner, played by Frederick Lau, a boyhood friend, to restore order in the family business, much to the dislike of Toni's brother Abbas, played by Veysel, who is eager to succeed him as the family leader.

Starring the German rapper Eko Fresh and the actors Kida Khodr Ramadan and Kostja Ullmann, the film tells the story of the three Yildiz brothers Celal, Sami and Mesut, who live under one roof and lead a chaotic bachelor life. That changes suddenly, when a little baby comes into their lives that they have to take care of. In 2015 3 Türken und ein Baby was nominated for the Civis Media Prize for Integration.
