Justin Vivian Bond is an American singer-songwriter, author, painter, performance artist, and actor. Described as "the best cabaret artist of their generation" and a "tornado of art and activism," Bond first achieved prominence under the pseudonym of Kiki DuRane in the stage duo Kiki and Herb, an act born out of a collaboration with long-time co-star Kenny Mellman. With a musical voice self-described as "kind of woody and full with a lot of vibration," Bond is a Tony-nominated (2007) performer who has received GLAAD (2000), Obie (2001), Bessie (2004), Ethyl (2007), and a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Grants to Artists (2012) awards. Bond is transgender and prefers the gender-inclusive honorific Mx. and pronoun v, a reference to Bond's middle name.
Kiki and Herb are an American drag cabaret duo. Bond portrays Kiki DuRane, an aging, alcoholic, female lounge singer. Mellman portrays her gay, male piano accompanist, known only as "Herb."
Gunfight At Carnegie Hall is the final album by Phil Ochs released during his lifetime, comprising songs recorded at the infamous, gold-suited, bomb-threat shortened first show at Carnegie Hall in New York City on March 27, 1970, though it contains less than half of the actual concert. The shows recorded that day served to surprise Ochs' fans, from his gold lamé Nudie suit, modeled after Elvis Presley's, to his covers of Presley, Conway Twitty, Buddy Holly and Merle Haggard songs, to his own re-arranged songs. Some fans loved it, but some attendees at the show were unhappy with the music he was playing, wanting only to hear "old" Ochs. Before he had a chance to convince them, the concert was cut short by a telephoned bomb threat.

To Be Continued... is a four-disc box set detailing Elton John's music from his days with Bluesology to the then-present day. Four new songs were recorded for the box set. Newly sober John was unhappy with the US cover art, so the 1991 UK release was issued with new cover art and also replaced "You Gotta Love Someone" and "I Swear I Heard the Night Talkin'" with then-unreleased "Suit of Wolves" and "Understanding Women", the former a B-side to "The One" and the latter later included as a track on the 1992 album The One. In the US, it was certified gold in June 1992 and platinum in November 2006. In April 2016 it was certified 2 x platinum by the RIAA.

Backed by a 36-piece orchestra conducted by Stephen Oremus, Wainwright recreated Garland's April 23, 1961, concert, often considered "the greatest night in show business history". Garland's 1961 double album, Judy at Carnegie Hall, a comeback performance with more than 25 American pop and jazz standards, was highly successful, initially spending 95 weeks on the Billboard charts and garnering five Grammy Awards.
