The Crickets were an American rock and roll band from Lubbock, Texas, formed by singer-songwriter Buddy Holly in January 1957. Their first hit record, "That'll Be the Day", released in May 1957, peaked at number three on the Billboard Top 100 chart on September 16th, 1957. The sleeve of their first album, The "Chirping" Crickets, shows the band line-up at the time: Holly on lead vocals and lead guitar, Niki Sullivan on rhythm guitar, Jerry Allison on drums, and Joe B. Mauldin on bass. The Crickets helped set the template for subsequent rock bands, such as the Beatles, with their guitar-bass-drums line-up and the talent to write most of their own material. After Holly's death in 1959 the band continued to tour and record with other band members into the 21st century.
Taking Back Sunday is an American rock band from Long Island, New York. The band was formed by guitarist Eddie Reyes and bassist Jesse Lacey in 1999. The band's members currently are Adam Lazzara, John Nolan, Shaun Cooper and Mark O'Connell (drums), accompanied by Nathan Cogan (guitar) for their live performances. Among the band's former members include Lacey, Reyes and guitarist and vocalist Fred Mascherino.

Waterdown was a hardcore punk and post-hardcore band from Osnabrück, Germany. The band emerged onto the scene in 1999 under the formation of: Axel Pralat (guitar), Marcel Bischoff (vocals), Jörg Schwoeppe (drums), Christian Kruse (bass), Holger Behrens (guitar), and Ingo Rieser (vocals). The band was signed to Victory Records up until the mid-2000s. The band's first release was Never Kill the Boy on the First Date, which put them on the map in both Europe and America. This was followed by their second release The Files You Have on Me. They then toured until one of their vocalists (Bischoff) left the group in 2004. Eventually they found their current singer, Michael "Zacken" Janczak. After acquiring Janczak, production on their following album All Riot began immediately. The album has been released on January 24, 2006. Sometime between the release of All Riot and the EP Powersnake, Ingo Rieser left the ensemble. The band put out the EP Powersnake and a final record Into the Flames, until they called it quits in 2012.
The Audition was an American rock band from Chicago, Illinois. The band was composed of singer Danny Stevens, drummer Ryan O'Connor, guitarists Seth Johnson and Timmy Klepek and bassist Joe Lussa. The band's first release was a six track EP titled All In Your Head. In early 2005, they signed to record label Victory Records and released their debut album, titled Controversy Loves Company. In early January 2008 they released their second studio album Champion. On April 28, 2009 they released their third studio album Self-Titled Album. Their latest full-length album Great Danger was released on March 16, 2010.
"My Guitar Wants to Kill Your Mama" is a song written by Frank Zappa and originally recorded by The Mothers of Invention in February 1969 at Criteria Studios (Miami), with overdubs recorded sometime between March and May 1969 at TTG Studios and Whitney Studios. This version was included on their 1970 album Weasels Ripped My Flesh, an LP that included various recordings by the band from 1967 to 1969. A second version was released as a single on the Bizarre and Reprise labels as "My Guitar." Despite the more conventional naming, "My Guitar" did not chart.

Dr. Acula is an American deathcore band from Long Island, New York. Formed in 2005, the group has released five studio albums, and One Independent EP which is long since out of print. They were signed to Victory Records at the time of disbandment. The band is known for the use of soundclips from movies and TV shows as an accent to their songs. Their band name is derived from an alternative perspective from the name of Dracula, which was originally part of a joke coined by comedian Mitch Hedberg. After disbanding in 2012, the original line up re-formed in late 2019 and is currently active.
Design the Skyline was an American avant-garde metal band from Corpus Christi, Texas. Formed in 2007, the band originally was known as Extra Large Kids during high school and recorded demo songs while playing in their local area under this name. In 2011, the band gained international attention after being signed to Victory Records with their song "Surrounded by Silence" and its accompanying video, which was so negatively received to the point where the band gained a considerable exposure. The negative reaction was generally due to the song's key structure and sound changes, as well the band's overt "scene" image at the time.
