Kim Jun-young (born September 25, 1951) is a South Korean economist, professor, and the current 19th president of Sungkyunkwan University. [1] Under his leadership, the university has made globalisation a top priority, actively seeking partnerships with foreign universities to expand two-way student exchange. [2] Kim is one of Korea's leading experts on macroeconomics, and he still teaches a popular class on the subject, rare for a Korean university president. [3] He has published numerous books on the subject, including one bestseller, Macroeconomics. [4]
He received his Bachelor of Economics from Sungkyunkwan University in 1975. He received his MS in 1979 and PhD in 1984, both from the Graduate School of Economics of University of Minnesota. He received an honorary doctorate of Law from National Chengchi University in 2011.

Sungkyunkwan University is a private research university in Seoul and Suwon, South Korea. The institution traces its origins to the historic Sungkyunkwan founded in 1398 in central Seoul. As the foremost educational institution of the Joseon Dynasty, it was governed by the great code of the state administration with royal assent. By a resolution of the Confucian scholars, it was restructured as a comprehensive university in the mid-20th century, and has since greatly expanded its academic offerings. Sungkyunkwan University is considered one of the most prestigious universities in South Korea, ranking 145 in the world and 6th in Korea.
Kim Il Sung University, founded on 1 October 1946, is the first university built in North Korea. It is located on a 15-hectare (37-acre) campus in Pyongyang, the nation's capital. Along with the main academic buildings, the campus contains 10 separate offices, 50 laboratories, libraries, museums, a printing press, an R&D center, dormitories and a hospital. There is a large computer lab, but it has limited internet access. The university is named in honour of Kim Il Sung, the founder and first supreme leader of North Korea.

Chung Un-chan is a South Korean politician who was the Prime Minister of South Korea (2009–2010). Dr Mohieldin also served on several Boards of Directors in the Central Bank of Egypt and the corporate sector. He was a member of the Commission on Growth and Development and was selected for the Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum in 2005. His professional experience extends into the academic arena as a Professor of Economics and Finance at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University and as a Visiting Professor at several renowned Universities in Egypt, Korea, the UAE, the UK and the USA. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of Durham University Business School. He also holds leading positions in national, regional and international research centres and associations. He has authored numerous publications and articles in leading journals in the fields of economics, finance and development.
