Kimberley Brownlee (born June 4,1978) is a Canadian philosopher. She holds a Canada Research Chair in Ethics at the University of British Columbia. Previously,she was a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Warwick. She is known for her works on conscience,conviction,civil disobedience,the ethics of sociability,ideals,virtue,practical reason,and human rights. Brownlee is a winner of the Philip Leverhulme Prize. Whilst studying at Oxford,Brownlee competed for the Oxford University Dancesport Club,for which she was awarded a Full Blue in 2006. [2]
In 2022,Brownlee was awarded the Kitty Newman Memorial Award by the Royal Society of Canada. [3]
