Kira Shyrykina (born 4 June 2008) is a Ukrainian rhythmic gymnast. [1] She represents her country in international competitions.

Career

In 2023 Kira was part of the junior national group at the World Chanmpionships in Cluj-Napoca where Ukraine was 4th in teams and, along Natalia Denysova, Sofiia Kuts, Milana Makhortova, Uma Shamilova and Nadiia Yurina, 4th in the All-Around, and 4th in the two finals with 5 balls and 5 ropes. [2]

The following year she was incorporated into the national senior group in 2024, debuting at the World Cup in Athens ending 4th in 5 hoops final. [3] In Sofia they were 10 in the All-Around, 7th with 5 hoops and 11th with 3 ribbon & 2 balls. [4] In April the group was 7th in the All-Around in Baku, taking 5th place with 5 hoops and 7th with 3 ribbons & 2 balls. [5]

In May she competed at the 2024 European Championships in Budapest along Diana Baieva, Alina Melnyk, Valeriia Peremeta and Mariia Vysochanska, ending 8th in teams, 6th in the All-Around, 5th with 5 hoops and winning bronze in the 3 ribbons & 2 balls' final. [6] [7] [8]
