Knínice u Boskovic is a market town (městys) in Blansko District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic.
Městys is a status conferred on certain municipalities in the Czech Republic, lying in terms of size and importance higher than that of obec, but lower than that of město. Sometimes, "město" is translated as "city" and "městys" is translated as "town" or "market town".
Blansko District is one of seven districts (okres) within South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. Its capital is city Blansko.
The South Moravian Region is an administrative unit of the Czech Republic, located in the south-western part of its historical region of Moravia. Its capital is Brno, the 2nd largest city in the Czech Republic. The region has 1,169,000 inhabitants and the total area of 7,196.5 km². Knínice u Boskovic lies approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) north of Blansko, 38 km (24 mi) north of Brno, and 175 km (109 mi) east of Prague.
